At the moment on my server (EU-Genj) where a flask of Dragonic mind costs in AH 260g per item i believe these are the most cost effective assets for my raids.

At least untill "Bountiful Bags" guild perk right?

In a world of Mitigation > Stamina, Pally and Warrior tanks should try to use this over straight Stamina depending on the boss fight. Coupled with a Prismatic Elixir (90 Magic Resist) and 90/90 Mastery/Stam food, the amount of additional mitigation is nothing to laugh at.

With alchemy bonus (the old mixology), this gives 265 mastery.

Considering that the mats are relatively inexpensive, I would agree that the extra damage mitigation trumps the stamina boost granted by the steelskin flask for tanks. Combined with elixir of deep earth (+900 armor) and lavascale minestrone (90/90 mast/stam), it's probably the best tank setup for those not yet uncrushable.
