I used a macro with /Target Muddy Crawfish and then i raid tagged them. They are as toybreaker says, small critters in and around the waters. you only walk up to them and "loot" them.

Apparently picking these up can proc the black magic enchant (Magia Nera). Happened to me twice today so i don't think it was just a fluke.

Btw, if you don't want to mess with the macros, if you hit the key "v", to show the health bars of enemies, critters, etc, you should be able to see them easily if you walk up to a lake. Just fyi :D

Is there a way to "loot" these in a macro after you target them? I have the nameplate displayed but they are so slippery to catch.

I'm going to ruin my own best spot by telling this, but the absolute best place to pick these guys up is the small pond/lake in the Valley of Wisdom and Valley of Honor. Relatively small space and they're plentiful there, and respawn fast.

Hi.
I´ve developed a really simple but usefull macro for gathering this small and annoying creatures. It just target the closest one. Additionally, it targets as well the brightwater from the Undercity dairy quest, saving time and eyepain

I'd love to have one of these little buggers as a pet. After you sit there fishing for a good long while, seeing the little critter scootle about with it's tiny little invertebrate legs... You just sort of fall in love.

As of a recent patch, the crawfish are now extremely easy to find.
They sparkle and also have a yellow name tag.

Count ano0ther one, Nog (the goblin fishing god). I sat there fishing for 25 or so minutes, thought I'd wander over to a better pond. What do I see? Muddy Crawfish. Apparently, you need to find these wandering about, and right-click to add them to your daily-total. ~~Harumph!~~

These things cannot be killed which is annoying when you're trying to fish and they keep getting in the way.
