I have just got this item, And for a resotration druid: NO
Plain and Simple: No

It procs only from direct healing, Making it more or less useless.

I just did a BRC run, And it proced a grand total of once.

Don't forget you can reforge some of the spirit if you want. This dropped for my holy priest today in VP (at level 83, not having mana problems because I'm using the cata way of healing instead of the wrath way.. although I do expect that to change at 85!). I almost lost it to the shadow priest who said she was holy main spec but I won it. I reforged some of the spirit into haste.. could turn it into crit or mastery instead if you'd rather. If I start having mana problems at 85 as I expect, I will just undo the reforging if I'm still using this very nice trinket.

Its a nice amount of spirit, but the proc rate of Anthem is horrible.
Im resto shaman myself and after doing some tests (This as in standing and healing a friend in a "want to be in raid" way for about 4-5 mins) it only procced twice.
A trinket that will be changed as fast there is anything else showing up.

I have a holy Priest and it procs about 45-70% of the time, if even that. Its not that great but i like the spirit from it.

For disc priests, Atonement from casting Smite causes this to proc.

Helps a lot for questing as discipline priest, atonement heals proc it, (holy fire DoT/HoT as well), thus you'll be having it up often. This and power infusion/borrowed time shortens the kill time to that of a DPS, while being still a healer.
I don't go back to shadow since I've got this.

I can report that this DOES work with Renew for Priests. Strangely enough I got it AND Tear of Blood to proc at the same time from my renew. I was just spamming renew in org on myself when they both procced. I don't know if this means that rainsong only procs on crit Renews because of other talents. (Disc priests give bubbles from crit heals, this bubble might have procced it maybe?) Regardless, I can confirm that it procs from Renews.

Edit: did it again, but this time was not a crit. So it does for sure proc on normal Renew tics. Yay!

Got this on my Priest at Level 83, I have it along with Clessidra delle Streghe
However I then found them on AH for around 90-120g dead cheap!

I'm sure they will both last me up until I at least re-gear at 85 so I can't complain.

So from what the comments suggests there is a chance for this to proc off of each tic of spells such as Regrowth, Renew, Renuvination, and Lifebloom.

If this is actually the case then it could be amazing for Resto Druids, with a 10% proc rate this could have an amazing uptime. No-one has mentioned if the proc can stack, which I would assume it not to, as that would make it far too overpowered.

However, what I'd love to see is someone who has done some actually testing to determine uptime of this proc, post patch 4.3. I'm slowly leveling my Druid and have this item, but am far from it's level req.

If by the time I can test this item more precisely, I'll will if no-one else has and report back with findings.

I have this on my 84 rogue. I can confirm that it procs with my Veleno Prosciugante / and it seems to proc pretty often. usually 2-3 times in a 2 minute period.

This is clearly a reference to the Elfquest character "Rainsong", whose father Rain and son Mender were both healers (though she herself was not one).

Looted this today, and was very surprised to see that it requires a character level of 110 to equip. Considering it only provides 27 versatility, and occasionally 160 haste, I don't find it very useful.
