I don't know why these were both downvoted. Please correct me if I am missing something, but when I looked up "Andycoopsdk" in the armory, it does in fact show that he has the recipe learned. Seems to me it'd make more sense to "upvote" the first poster to confirm an item's existence in game vs downvote, but maybe that's just me.

They do not bind on use. So you can casually wear them and mail them to alts or even sell them in the auction house.

Saw this on the auction house for 500 gold and went ahead and bought them. Don't really know what they're worth now but selling them for like 20000 g now and really don't expect them to sell kind of attached to them atm but will probably try to sell em for 10 to 15 thousand.

To the people saying items such as these aren't eligible for transmogrification due to the item in question having no armor type, that isn't quite true. While this specific item might not be eligible, (likely because it has no stats or possibly because it was deemed inappropriate) you can transmogrify no armor type pieces of armor (providing they have stats on it, or at least armor in green text) to other no armor type pieces of armor. To clarify, an example of this is it because possible to transmogrify Keeshan's Bandana, a no armor type head piece reward in Redridge Mountains with resistance stats on it to the appearance of Helm of the Fire Festival, another no armor type armor type head piece with 2 armor on it (in green text which I am assuming what separates it from being ineligible for transmogrification like most pieces of common rarity armor). Just wanted to clear that up, but it is understandable to not consider this because no armor type armor is rarely worthwhile to equip outside of cosmetic use, especially due to not receiving armor specialization stat bonuses.

There are four (Ultra) rare recipes in Cataclysm that teaches Jewelcrafters how to make awesome headgear. They are highly sought for vanity reasons and are very likely to fetch a nice price in the Auction House:

I compiled several other information that I could gather from all of the comments in the itens and recipes' pages:

They can't be transmogged as of Patch 7.0.3.

They are a rare World Drop from Cata and MoP (and can drop from almost any creature).
They can only drop for Jewelcrafters ***
The Drop Rate is ~0,01% and is a bit higher on Cata creatures.

All those itens are throwbacks to the old Occhiali di Rubino.

It used to cost some thousands gold when it was added in TBC. Its price got reduced to coppers shortly before it was removed, some time in Wotlk.

While they can't be transmogged, there are no level restrictions nor any status gains.

They can - and most likely will only - be used to pimp your AH lvl1 alts with the coolest gear.

Got these from Blingtron 4000 with the insanely low drop rate some time in MoP or WoD and they have just been sitting in my bag awaiting the day they eventually become transmoggable, there's no reason why they shouldn't be these days with all of the expanded options such as invisible chest armour etc. The model for them is incredibly detailed for an older model. Similar to the Royal Crest of Lordaeron shield which always amazed me with how highly detailed the model is for the time it's from.

The whole "too silly" excuse just won't work anymore. The Stylin' hats have been a thing for ages and they are just as "silly" as these.

As of 9.0.5, it seems like the craft-able version of the sunglasses are bugged (for me at least?), they're unable to be added to my wardrobe even though it says I haven't collected the appearance yet. They don't even show up in the uncollected appearances in the tab. :/

Edit: Seems like they can now bind to you and will be added to the wardrobe.

As of a few hours after the patch, newly crafted rhinestones are showing BoE

some of my ones made before the patch also show boe, some do not

the ones missing the Bind on Equip tag still bind as soon as you wear them, with no confirmation. they also get added to the wardrobe as well.

I read almost all the comments here and on the recipe page and I still keep wondering. What is the most efficient way to start farming the recipe now (Shadowlands 9.0.5)? Casually or not, what info do we know about the drop of the recipe? The All The Things addon is not really helpful on that, plus the Wowhead does not say anywhere about drop chances and mobs, etc.

I tried the Cataclysm "world bosses" but still, that farming method seems really hard since we don't know for sure yet their respawn timers (some people say 3 hours but do we have any valid source for that change? it used to be days), and even then the respawn timer will probably be too long. I would prefer to endlessly kill for 2-3 hours +- some mobs who I know that they have an "x" chance to drop it than waiting for these "world bosses".

Do you have any place/ mobs to suggest? I don't mind how low the drop rate will it be as long as I know for sure that these "x" mobs have the chance, because as I see it now, we have nothing really confirmed and we just have random GM answers or screenshots 3+ years old.

Since the glasses are transmogable now, I think it will be a good idea to update our info and gather it all together for the people who would like to farm the recipe in the future.

Thank you for your time and congrats to whoever decides to spend hoooours on that hard and blindfolded farm. You are heroes.

Edit: I don't know if they (Blizzard) should update their info and give us something... like true information... I don't know if it is fair and just, it is just a thought. But I think we deserve a clear and responsible answer to something... I will try to send some tickets (I won't get a helpful answer, I do know that) and write to them on the "Submit feedback or bug report" tab. If we all start doing that maybe they give us some guidelines. It seems a leap of faith, but we will never learn the results if we never try as a whole.

Edit 2: Why the downvotes? Downvote me freely but do you mind sharing also the reasons for your downvotes? I might be writing something wrong or you might get something wrong, that's why Wowhead gives us the reply button down there.

Although it does not currently say this on the item... it requires level 58 to learn. I was trying to clear off alts on other servers and already had the appearance, but I wanted to give these to a friend. They created a new character and when they tried to learn the glasses, it told them it requires level 58. So, they will sit on that alt forever. Lol. I know I can put them in the AH to sell, but I will undoubtedly forget to go back and get the gold. : /
