This is your basic Spell Penetration gem in Cataclysm. Spell Pen is almost exclusively used in PvP, as it provides a point-for-point offset to magic resistance. This gem provides 38 Spell Pen, so 1-2 should be plenty for most casters. Upgrades include Zefirite Tempestosa Perfetta for +44 Spell Pen, and Zaffiro Oceanico Tempestoso for +50 Spell Penetration.
