In the PTR (build 10072) testing, this item drops from the 25-man version of the Twin Valkyrs and not from the 10-man version. Whether Trophies drop from any 10-man bosses (or heroic 10-man bosses), or are an item that is exclusive to 25-man remains to be seen.

These are like the "Leggings of the Lost Conqueror" or some other token drop--only it's not gear-specific because there are only 5 bosses (The devs feel that one boss per slot seems a bit too picky). You use these + Emblems of Triumph to buy the sets.

Remember that all difficulties in the Crusader's Coliseum (10/10h/25/25h) will drop Emblems of Triumph. However, I don't know whether or not 10-heroic will drop the same tokens as 10-normal, or if it will drop the same tokens as 25-normal (or have it's own tier)

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that this will be the way that Blizzard go in the future (using a single token that drops from multiple bosses, and then some badges/emblems)?

Personally, i think this is a better way of doing it. Being able to choose which item you want to upgrade first rather than having to wait until your guild get's "Lootlol" or "Epixftw" bosses down and then having to hope you get a token for your class drop.

As such, this allows you much more freedom when upgrading, yet it still requires time to upgrade due to the Emblems requirement.

They've applied this to the highest tier as well, which while class limited, doesn't have a slot-limitation. It's all good in my eyes, although i'm sure there's people will disagree and start spouting "Casualololol" in response for failing to realise other's have their own opinions.

So upgrading your gear will be much more stable time wise. We won't see anyone fully decked out in T9.5 for at least 2-3 weeks. Before there were some GM's that just took the first new tier tokens the raid dropped so he could be the best geared on his server. Because of this It wasn't very long until we were seeing people rocking full sets of their tier gear as a commonplace, while many of us are hoping to god a token for our class drops so we can get our first tier piece.

This item is the bane of any raiding guild that uses DKP,

i can understand them wanting to slow gear progression up a bit, but considering even heroic is only awarding 1 token, and the release of bosses is controlled, i think this kind of token system is a bit unnecessary for a 25man instance.

Currently, each encounter in the Colisium raid drop x3 (Northrend Beasts and Jaraxxas). So it appears every new boss adds a possible 3 emblems.

If I understand correctly, these are the Emblems/Tokens that drop from each boss in their respective difficulty setting:

10m Normal = x 3

10m Hardmode = x 3 + x 1

25m Normal = x 3 + x 1

25m Hardmode = x 3 + x 1

Correct me, if I'm wrong.

I feel a little cheated by this item.

In order to buy a pair of pants with my trophy, i need a total 75 emblems of triumph. That's a total of :
- 38 heroic 5-man runs or koralon kills
- 5 complete runs of Trial of the Crusader.

Basically, if all you run are 10-player instances, and want to get your entire ilvl 245 gear, you will need a total of 315 emblems of triumph. So yeah, that's 21 complete Trial of the Crusader runs.

If you are really good and can clear Trial of the Grand Crusader weekly, you can reduce the number of weeks required to get your gear to 11!

If you are completely insane and run heroics every day while clearing koralon 10-man and 25-man weekly, you'll get an additional 18 emblems per week. So then you'll only need 7 weeks of grinding to get your entire gear.

That's a lot of dead Koralons.

My point is that i'm a raider because i like raids, not because i want to spend my time in zerg-through content like the daily heroic quests. Especially since heroics in WotLK were always normal difficulty, unlike at the start of TBC.

I'm glad that people can grind for more gear if they wish to, i just find it absolutely silly that in order to get gear from Trial of the Crusader, you need more emblems of triumph than the other set, even though you're providing a Trophy...

You can get this only by raiding and hope to win one somehow depending on the guild/raid rules

In raid pug runs trophies tend to be ninjaed, the Master Looter will mostly give them to people from his guild when he Raid Rolls the trophy, raid view of master looter user interface is different from yours so you will be unable to find out if trophy was ninjaed
-most pug raids wont use activity list or some more fair way to distribute loot, on purpose to use raid roll-

The good part of 3.3.5 is that people now seem to primarily raid roll them in pugs, allowing you a chance to buy them cheaply off T10.5 geared players who happen to win them. Picked up 2 for 800g today from a lucky mage who didn't need em.

Uhh....this item is still in the game; just got one doing 25 ToC trying to get the boots for our paladin in preparation for Transmogrification. Gonna upload the data to wowhead just as soon as I can find 5 minutes where I'm not playing.

Not sure why there was a discussion of whether or not this is till in the game but I just got 4 of them soloing 25man Trial of the Crusader except the Faction Champions which I had to switch to 10 man to beat. I guess I have no real reason why I soloed this place today but 200g from the Trophies alone was pretty decent. Entire instance took around 20 minutes to clear.

25 HC. I got 3 , and someone else got 2.

Seems that with effect from 6.0.2 & the abolition of JP/VP, these are now no longer required for T9 gear upgrading...

Just solo'd TotC 25 & got 5 of them - free 250 Gold.

Don't listen to the "Currency for" tab. I sold the 3 I had because Wowhead only lists them as currency for Shaman/Alliance Paladin.

Yes, Valiant Bressia wants this, but the same appearances she sells are sold right next to her, (and also in Dalaran: Northrend) for less gold, minus the trophies. So in effect, she will sell you the same appearance, with higher ilvl, for more gold, plus a 50G trophy.

If you want to put the raid set together for transmog from Trial of the Crusader, rogues and probably other classes to, can purchase the Head, Shoulders, Gloves, Chest and Legs from vendors in Dalaran and outside the raid instance. The Trophy of the Crusade is only necessary to upgrade these items to a higher item level but the look is exactly the same, no colour or design variation. So if you pick up the Trophys while farming for the matching Belt, Bracers or Boots you may as well vendor them for the nice 50g each.

Looks like they've butchered the drop rate of this item, or removed it entirely. Back in the day I would always walk away from 25H with five of them, every time. The run I just did yielded exactly zero.
