In Norse Mythology Sif was the wife of Thor, God of Thunder, and seeing as Thorim is a direct Homage to Thor i think this may be a be one of Blizzards ways of joining the WoW lore with Norse Lore.

For healers this item is a bit hyped, alternatives that are better:

Soul of the Dead (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40382) 900 mana procc, same cd (45 seconds)
Spark of Hope: (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45703) Way more effective mp5 and for priests/druids clearly better. Up to 1890mana per 45 seconds, if chaincasting with haste. Around 1200-1300+ is more realistic (since your not always using so much haste, nor always using every GCD). For shamans/paladins the spirit is obviously a problem as it's a poor stat but oh well. Others can have it.

Eye of the Broodmother: (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45308) More healing compared to and for priests/paladins crit is a powerful stat anyway, effectively improves mana reg, and some classes adds an armor proc on crit heals aswell.
Pandora's Plea: (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45490) For priests and paladins Pandora's is no doubt stronger. Shamans and druids perhaps aswell.

Assuming this trinket has a 45 sec CD, it has an uptime of 33.33% and provides a passive 51.99 MP5 (these numbers are rough estimates, it all depends on how quickly the ability is activated again after the CD is up).

I am a healing priest (sometimes holy, sometimes disc) and that trinket is worth between 30 and 40 mp5 for me depending on the fight. It seems to proc more often from disc as discipline is a little more casting than holy. This is an excellent balanced trinket spellpower/regen. It's getting generously buffed in 3.2 from 156mp5 to 195mp5 during active time. I like how there is no use on it so i don't have to keep watching a restraining CD to max its use.

A druid with 1sec GCD will need to cast 10 times on average to get this to proc. So on average this will proc every 55sec
