Objective of Monsterbelly Appetite, a new fishing daily introduced in patch 3.1

Inside of the Bloated Monsterbelly is the Severed Arm which you turn into Olisarra the Kind at the First Aid shop in Dalaran. Bloated Monsterbelly is fished up from the Frozen Sea in Northrend and can only be caught while doing the daily, Monsterbelly Appetite which starts at Marcia Chase by the Eventide Fountain in Dalaran.

managed to get this while having a skill of only 115 (getting the catch got the last point in it) so it seems possible as long as you can get the quest you atleast have a chance to get the item needed to complete it.
I started at 103 skill and caught junk up till i caught the Bloated Monsterbelly so hopefully will give hope to others that want to do the daily.
Place i caught it was south of the Tuskar camp at Unu'Pe while standing on the icebergs fishing in a Monsterbelly pool (or as close as possible so the lure landed in both the pool and the open water of "The Frozen Sea")

Don't have to actually be fishing in a monsterbelly pool. Anywhere in the area that those pools spawn you can catch the bloated monsterbelly containing the arm.

I've done this quest 3 times total, all at 530+ skill in fishing. First time took me 10 casts, second time took me 12 casts, and the third time took me 10 casts.

So expect (if you have a good skill level) to take somewhere around 10 casts to fish it up.

My tests were all in open water by the way, not from any pool.

I just did this with 303 fishing and no lure

11x weeds
4x tattered cloth
1x bloated monsterbelly

I don't know about you but i wouldn't want my arm back if someone fished it up and found it along with a few pieces of Partially Digested Meat

I've done this a few times and i find that at the end of the Path of Titans in Dragonblight at about 59,79 works best

Haha Dangerdirty I agree, it seemed nasty to want to reattatch the arm when its fished out with Partially Digested Meat :P
The end of Path of Titans is the best spot idd - questhelper shows off this area along with one outside Borean Thundra, the End of Path of Titans is where I most succsessfully fish it up EVERY TIME - :)

From Dalaran, go to flight path and fly to Moa’ki Harbor in Dragonblight - 48.5, 74.4

After landing, jump on flying mount and head east to 59, 82. It is the broken dock. Land on one of the pieces and start fishing.

As of patch 3.3.3, the Severed Arm is now fished from the waters outside the Dalaran Prison (outside Violet Hold entrence), and the quest has been renamed to "Disarmed!". Happy fishing!

I cant find it ! my skill is 400 i tried on the 3 spots in frozen sea, inside pool and out, i already cast about 200 times and nothing =(

You actually fish up a Bloated Slippery Eel which contains the Severed Arm

I should have looked here first i fished muself to 525 looking for the arm when
i already had the bloated eel if you are looking here you prob have it already
