Upon Victory against the representative of any of the Capital Cities in either the Alliance Valiance ring or the Horde Valiance ring the Player will recieve one Mark of the Valiant per Valiant beaten.

You can only duel a specific Cities Valiant once every so often (The Debuff started at 60 minutes for me) For Example... Winning a Joust against a Thunder Bluff Valiant will cause you the Debuff Bested Thunder Bluff Preventing you from jousting with the valiant until the reset of the daily quests has occured

The daily quest The Grand Melee Offers you a Valiant's Seal for 3 Mark of the Valiant

The quest The Valiant's Charge requires 25 Valiant's Seal

Also Note: Beating each Representative for the Horde & Alliance Combined will earn the player this achievemnt Lance A Lot

The quests link to the Tauren Representatives for the quests as my main character is a Cow :)

The steps neccessary to complete the respective quest is the same for any faction.

Note that if you have no inventory space, you will not get this item, but you will still get the debuff preventing you from fighting more valiants of that particular city

My tactic on getting easy kills thus fast marks.

First i make sure i have my shield fully stacked.
Then i challenge an npc, i wait at a far enough distance so i can instantly charge upon entering combat.
Once charged, i hit my opponent once with melee while i continue moving forward, and just when i'm past my opponent i jump and turn 180 degrees and use my shield breaker. (if you don't jump you will take a long curve giving your opponent enough time to use his shield breaker)
Now i'm moving back at my opponent with greater than normal speed, if all went well your opponent shouldn't have enough time to use his shield breaker, so i'm still at three stacks while my opponent is down to two or one stacks.
Once i'm in melee range i hit him continuously with melee and take small steps backwards everytime i hit my opponent, this will make my opponent run away (after 2-3 steps back) so i can repeat the process from the start.

Master it this way and you can completely dispell the shield buff the valiants have.

These are no longer mailed to you if you have full bags, but if you fight three valiants then realise your bags were full like I just did, abandoning the quest and picking it up again will allow you to challenge them again.
