for those of you trying to get this recipe through the delta cards..the recipe is learnt automatically and goes straight into your recipe inventory, IT IS NOT A RECIPE THAT GOES ON YOUR BAG!!.....once you have acccessed the 3005-D machine check your recipes it will be in there.....

Solo'd Gnomer on my 39 Twink UD mage. Just had to take on the elites two at a time. Frost Nova Shatters are your friend definitely. This shcematic is automatically learned when you have the delta security card and a engineering of over 160 and you acces the 3005-D Punchomatic.

O.K. I just bought this for 30g off the AH and promptly hammered out 3 of the rays on my main engineer. I sent them to my lvl 10 twink pally, for testing and have testing comments under comments section for the ray itself.

On this page i would just say, if you are an engineer, troll the AH for this thing cause most people don't realize the rarity of the schematic and will dump it cheap, however, its well worth a few hundred gold for the fun factor and the possible earnings from biulding and selling ray-guns.

On my servers, the rays sell for up to 45g each.

As Dralmikins stated the easiest way to get this if you are an engineer is simply to learn it using the Delta Security Card inside the instance. Please note this is not to get the recipie as a physical thing you can sell on AH but simply to learn it for yourself and save having to farm the scematic.

So what to do:

Grab yourself a Delta Security Card from ah (or farm one inside the instance, not hugely rare) and then belt through the instance (at 85) or get a group together (at low level). You are looking for the Matrix Punchograph 3005-D machine which is actually on the ground floor of the engineering labs, just off to the side (so run as though going to last boss but stop in the room before hand - it will be marked on your map) . as long as you have the card on you, use the D terminal you will get a dialogue to "access secret plans" or something similar - click that and it will offer you the chance to learn this scematic.

I sold one for 3k today and was wondering if I underpriced it. Good to know its available for free so it can't be worth much more. Probably just got lucky with a lazy buyer :P

You can learn from Matrix Punchograph 3005-D in Gnomeregan (Engineering Labs), but you need have Security DELTA Data Access Card.

Found this recipe while doing Gnomeregan while leveling an alt. I did not do any special requirements or all. It was simply a drop from one of the mobs inside the dungeon. Didn't realise how rare it was until I attempted to put it in the AH
