To open the trade for the Flask, you must give him ten Relics.

This flask has now a practical use besides being big, strong and steel-plated: if you drink one before defeating the Assembly of Iron in Ulduar, you will get the But I'm on your Side achievement!

You can actually mount the argent tournament jousting mounts while the buff is active. your toon doesnt sit, he stands on the mount with a flag coming out of his head :P

Something to note about this Item, But I'm not 100% sure. Looking at the pictures from those posted, and my personal experience with this said Item, it seems to be either of these things.
Anyone else notice the different beards one can get? there is the 3-pronged braided one, or the santa-like stubby beard. It's either Alliance gets the stupid beard, and the Horde get the awesome braid. Or, it's a gender specific thing, but both of these are only theories, so someone is more than welcome to prove my hypothesis(es) correct.

NOTE: you can only buy this at a minimum level of 78, I found out the hard way when I tried to buy on a level 29 twink. He only starts the quest to buy from him at level 78 so don't waste your time if you are below 78.

You can mount in Trial of the Champion for the first encounter without breaking the effect. Instead of sitting on the wolf (or horse...need confirmation on this) you will be standing on it's back in Iron Dwarf Form.

DO NOT use this item before starting the brewfest ram race. You will not get a ram if you are transformed into an iron dwarf, but the event will be on cooldown anyway. So being transformed when starting the event "costs" you 20-40 badges depending on how good you are.

While jousting in ToC I discovered something fun too do.

If you keep the flask in your bad and mount on a jousting mount, hit 'B' to open the bag then right click on the flask. You will appear standing on the mount. Everything works the same otherwise.

If you want to get twenty minutes of use out of it, simply drink the flask right before you log off. The cooldown lasts an hour regardless of whether or not you're in-game, and the buff doesn't disappear when you log out. So if you're planning on logging off of WoW for a while, drink it beforehand and you'll be able to use it again when you log back on.

The provided buff is can be stolen by a mage's spellsteal , ask a friend to duel in order to "try out something".
Cast spellsteal and get this effect for 2 minutes , that however , is not the point.
The point is making your friends outraged with the 1 hour cooldown.
If a shaman was smart he would Dispell it , but there is no way s/hes gonna get it back.
Have fun , mages ! :p
For others - beware of tricky mages such as myself :p

Drink Winterfall Firewater.
Get the growth buff if your horde.
Quickly find your way to Northrend/Outland before growth wears off.
Mount up on a netherdrake.
Use your Iron Boot Flask.
Get a shammy to pop heroism.

Supposedly, you'd be huge. And I bet the mammoth would work in replacement of the netherdrake.

I did not see this anywhere but that does not mean someone didn't post this already.
If you use the Nogernfoger drinks to make you small and use this flask
naturally you become a small dwarf running around...being mounted after making yourself small is also rather funny.

I always remove the undead buff before using the flask but idk if you need to or not...

It's a pity that the actual dwarf voice is only used for the /lol and /cry emote. Unlike Faded Wizard Hat which use the respective race's voice for any emote. It's quite fun to listen to all the different /flirt and /silly stuff :D

Now I havent see anyone mention this but if you just have a lvl 85 and want to buy the Iron Boot Flask. Just go in the storm peaks area and kill a bunch of Iron dwarf mobs or ,golems or those Iron gnomes(forgot the name of the mobs) untill you`ve farmed 20 relics of Ulduar. You NEED 10 to compleate a quest - making the Npc into a vendor and another 10 to actually buy the Iron Boot Flask.

What the heck's with all the downvotes on those comments who mention it's unfair for this thing to have an hour cooldown? I totally agree with those people who're saying it's unfair - I'm going to assume that the downvoters REALLY don't like these items.

Anyway, I think this is a pretty cool item and deserves a shorter cooldown. Rather stupid, 10 minutes of fun then an hour's wait... wtf?

I noticed that as a female character using this item followed by Globo dei Sin'dorei, you become a male Blood Elf and not a female as you normally would.

Though we are unable to mount while under the effects of this transformation, as of 6.0.3 we are still able to get into a two-person mount while transformed! I made a video showing the hilarious result of getting into a two-person mount while transformed into one of these Iron Dwarves...

While under effect of this, if you use Glifo Carbonizzato near a player of a same faction, you will turn into a player of the opposite faction! E.g. you are human and you use Glifo Carbonizzato near dwarf player, you will look like a tauren. Some overlaps are amazing indeed.

With a new character I had to do the quest "Ancient Relics" before I were able to purchase anything from Olut. The quest requires you to turn in 10 relics, so make sure you have 20 with you if you haven't done the quest already.
