Died during the first attempt .. returned to find I could still mount to kill Dr. Terrible however the mobs would simply appear then disappear and no engagement ensued. Can't dump the quest as it destroys the book. Have issued a ticket.

After you pick up the quest, start heading back the way you came but instead of going right and up the stairs, go left and Nergeld (the "vehicle") is standing at the far end of the hallway.

I used the stomp and stun abilities (abilities 2 and 3) on the mobs until Dr. Terrible shows up and then I used ability 3 to aoe the mobs and just used ability 1 (punch) to kill Dr Terrible. He heals himself so use the interrupt ability.

Hmm, dont remember where I stopped or what I didn't do. Trying to do this quest chain now and can't seem to figure out where I left off : /

Blizz should mark the quest this item gives as a group quest! I tried three times in a row and died each time!

Like stated before, once you pick up the quest head to the left instead of up the stairs. You will see the mount that you need toget on. Once you get in it, you will not b able to move forward, backwards, etc. For the random mobs before the Doctor spawns, i used the 1 and 2 keys. Once he spawned, i took out the add first then press 2 to push the Doctor backwards. As he began to cast things, i would hit 2 to interupt him. If i were running out of engery, i hit 2 and as he ran back to me, my energy bar would regrow. Also, using 4 can cause an interupt if he begins to casts after you pushed him back with 2. Number 3 is very helpful when he near you to kill him. I found 1 to be pointless...

So for someone who haven't played wotlk it took a while until I figured out how to unlock this quest.

Step 1. Go to Dalaran (old) and pick up the quest "Preparations for war" near to the gryph master from Sky-Reaver Klum (/way 69.47, 40.86) or Officer Van Rossem (/way 67.95, 46.80)
Step 2. Speak with him again and say "Take me to the ship", after you arrive turn in the quest.
Step 3. Pick up the quest "It's all Fun and Games" from "Koltira Deathweaver" (horde) or Thassarian (alliance)
Step 4. Complete "I have an Idea, but First..."
Step 5. Complete "Free your mind"
Step 6. Complete "If He Cannot Be Turned" (you can turn this in on the zeppelin,you can see the marker on map)
Step 7. Complete "The Shadow Vault"

With this you are done with quest chain "What's Yours Is Mine" and unlocked "The Unthinkable" quest chain.
To unlock "The Sum is Greater than the Parts" complete the following quests:

1. The Duke
2. Eliminate the Competition (outside, from "The Leaper")
3. The bone Witch

After unlocking The Bone Witch, she will give you a quest ("Deep in the Bowels of The Underhalls") to go and kill Apprentice Osterkilgr. (Building entrance /way 32.60, 32.15. Go straight until you reach the wall in front of you, turn right, go down on the stairs, turn left and you can see him)
Unfortunately you can't 1 shot Osterkilgr or he won't drop the quest starter item. There are a few ways to do it.
First of all you want to aggro him, so he starts to speak.
You can use Soft Foam Sword or unequip all of your gear and use the "While Body Shrinka' ", or unequip all your gear, fly up in the air, dismount, die from fall damage, take ress sickness, whatever way you like.
After you hit it under 40-35% hp he will say "The doctor entrusted me with the plans to Nergeld, our flesh giant amalgamation made entirely of vargl! It will be the most powerful creation of its kind and a whole legion of them will be created to destroy your pitiful forces.". After this you can kill him and loot "Dr. Terrible's "Building a Better Flesh Giant".

Turn around, go to the room on the left, use "Nergeld", kill The doctor, you are done :)
