Easiest way to finish this quest: Fly up very high in the air, take off all your gear, position yourself so you're right above where WoWHead says the box is, dismount and rez right by the toolbox. Ride the mines out! It works and it's much easier!

Indeed. Walk a bit around the mining field (anticlockwise), until you see two burned trees. One tree is falling at the side and ... points to the safetly entrance! (around 34.39,86,70)
Follow the free road, little in the spiral, until you reach Janks.

You cannot try fly there, because there are also turrents which can shoot to air. It's very thick security.

Perhaps you see also there a dead body of a mob. That point also where the entrance is.

One warning: don't fly low over the mining field...........! You blow out the air!

I tried the method below and they will not lat you rez anymore if you land next to the item/npc. I did it on the first try buy mounting on fying mount low to the ground and went straight to him.

The easiest way to do this quest is to mount very high to the designated spot and then once you have your target in place, then dismount..you will fall and die but the good thing about that is once you die, you go back to the place resurrect yourself and then grab the quest item...worked for me...besides it's the fastest way to do it. i hope this helps you.

You can no longer mount at all anywhere close to these landmines. Even walking on a mount will send you flying and instantly dismount you. Happy questing :3
