Best place to farm this and blindweed or fadeleaf is in swamp of sorrows, almost no one goes there and 2 or 3 plants spawn on each little island.

If you're a low lvl 30, Witherbark Village in Arathi Highlands is the place to be. If you're the only one there, you'll rake in 10-15 herbs for about 5mins worth of work.

here's my farming strategy: scoop up all the herb (about four nodes in Witherbark Village), then log out for 20 minutes, work on stuff with another character, then log back in, rake the place, repeat. If you're not under too much pressure to get it, it's a fairly easy way to get loads of Khadgar's Whisker and Liferoot

Post Shattering the best place to farm this is the Eastern Plaguelands, working out from Light's Hope Chapel.

Western Plaguelands has a ton of this around, along with kingsblood and fadeleaf.

No longer requires 185 Herbalism to gather.

I'm not sure of the exact number, but it is likely 170 or so.

Several herb gathering ranges appear to be changed - I'm surprised they aren't mentioned here.

Edit: Wowpedia says the new number is 160 to gather it.

I gathered it with only 160 Herbalism (no racial, no enchant), even if the in-game tooltip says it requires 185.

I ask because I see that Arthas' Tears was called Stratholme Lily before being changed pre-launch.

Did not fins any Khadgar's Whisker in Swamp of Sorrows. Found Sorrow Moss mostly. Khadgar's Whisker was found in Southern Barrens in the Overgrowth. Also found it in Western Plaugelands, Southern part of Stranglethorn. Good amount found at the bottoms of tress in both of these areas.

Just an updated confirmation that the Southern part of Stranglethorn has a nice amount of Khadgar's Whisker to farm.

I found lots of Kingsblood, Blindweed, Fadeleaf and Khadgar's wisker in Feralas... I filled up my herb bag in 2 or 3 rounds exploring the area, and I have a 20 slot bag. its also a good spot to fish for Greater Sagefish.. Hope this helps some, good luck on your searching..! :)

Southern Stranglethorn was perfect for my lvl 24-25 scribe Rogue. HUGE agro range though, but WORTH IT!

Ran across a pretty good spot with a small but dense population of K's W and Fadeleaf.

Western Plaguelands / flight path at Mender's Stead / Dalson's Farm

By the time I finished the questline to remove the diseased fruits and vegetables, all of the nodes had respawned. I'll be back to farm this area for sure.

You'll usually find this nestled under a tree in STV or the Plaguelands. You need 160 Herbalism to grab it.

There are four really good zones to farm this (list is most accurate if you have a flying mount):

Cape of Stranglethorn Vale - Very many spawn points for Khadgar's Whisker and Fadeleaf, however very little Goldthorn spawn points. I suggest a flying mount or a higher level character due to high amount of hostile mobs.

Arathi Highlands - A medium amount of spawn points for Khadgar's Whisker, Goldthorn and Fadeleaf, however mostly populated with Kingsblood, Bruiseweed, and Wild Steelbloom. Very little hostile mobs, however spawn points are spread out, so I suggest a flying mount.

Western Plaguelands - Many spawn points for Khadgar's Whisker and Fadeleaf in the fields, also very many spawns for Kingsblood as well. Not that many hostile mobs to boot, would be good for those without a flying mount.

Eastern Plaguelands - Tons of spawn points for Khadgar's Whisker and Sungrass, very good if you are leveling inscription and do not need much variety in herbs. A flying mount if almost a must due to the high amount of hills and mountains though. Other than that I think this is the best place for Khadgar's Whisker.

Weird. Khadgar has almost no facial hair, let alone whiskers.
