this is a fun item. the animation is similar to the heavy leather ball except, as you can probably imagine, replaced by a skull.

You get this from the group of trolls leading up to the dragonhawk god in Zul'Aman that are playing catch with one of these. I was near them when I got one, and noticed that when they aggro they throw the skull at the raid.

Along with this and the Heavy Leather Ball there is another item, my favorite, that you can toss around: the Happy Fun Rock! http://www.wowhead.com/?item=18640 This drops from various mobs in Dire Maul.

They throw this skull at you and it knocks you back really far. Careful who you have pull as they'll be out of commission for a few seconds.

With an epic ground mount and riding crop equipped, you can have a friend throw this at you (while you're mounted) and it will never catch up as long as you keep moving - preferably in as straight a line as possible. It's especially hilarious in BGs when this spinning skull is following across the field.

A fun game to play is to make a macro, /use Voodoo Skull /use Heavy Leather Ball, etc. and just throw everything back and forth with another person. Elicits many responses when done in a crowded area.

It is possible to glitch the animation out with epic flying and a friend. Simply have your friend throw it at you while you are mounted and fly off with it following you. Once you have it trailing a fair amount you can land next to your friend and rethrow it back to him, because you will have it back in your inventory, and fly off again before the animation hits you. rince and repeat it is fun to have 10 of these following you.
