when you use the headpiece 4 mobs will pop so be prepared, they are not difficult i solo'd them as druid resto in Bear shapeshift

Stays in your bag/trinket slot after you hand in the quest. As far as I can tell it has no further use after the quest, since the only spirits it enables you to see seem to be the ones near Gul'dan.
So I'd say it's probably safe to delete it.

Interestingly, it does allow you to see 'visions of the past' in and around the capital cities, and in certain other places when you corpse run. Nice touch, in my humble opinion. Thought something special was going on in Undercity and took a screenshot - then unequipped the trinket and they all disappeared.

Also - all of the spirits at the capital cities appear to be L15 and Neutral until attacked.

Is there any way to re-obtain it after you completed the quests?
I'd love to have it back for fun-purposes...

You don't have to be dead to see the ghosts. I went to Undercity alive and saw them in the courtyard. When killed they drop some copper and linen cloth. Only slightly funny when horde passes by and see you slashing at nothing. Other than that this item has no use after the quest, so unless you wanna play Ghostbusters just delete it.

Used to equip in a Trinket slot, no longer equip-able.
Don't see a further use for this after the quest is completed.
