For the blood is ok, the problem is that maybe when you fight the basilisk you damage the brain and its useless. :D

You'd have to be really dumb to have a quest to get intact basilisk brains then go stab them in the head. Or hit them with a mace in the head. They must be undead orcs, some of them just don't have blood.

Strange observation:

when killing them tank-style (engage many) - low droprate, like 1/10
when killing them hunter-style (one-by-one) - higher droprate, like 1/3

Is this standard behaviour, or just coincidence?
