Will this pattern drop only in normal mode or in heroic mode as well?

The drop rate on this pattern is actually higher than Wowhead lists it because non-leatherworkers and LWers who already know the pattern cannot see it at all when it drops. That means no ninjaing, but it also makes it hard for sites like this to get an accurate idea of the drop rate.

Does this even still drop? The only reason I ask is that I've taken through a lvl 73 alt all the way to lvl 75 while farming this pattern. I've also managed to get to exalted with the shat'tar from friendly and it has yet to drop.

Still drops; dropped on Regular (from my first kill; hooray).

confirmed drop 25th dec. 2011 from the two infernals near endboss (I did it on normal mode.)

Well, according to others, it still drops. I've ran probably 50 heroics and 100 normals so far, and the Gargantuan Abyssal's aren't dropping anything at all.. not even trash. Guess I'll keep trying since it was confirmed that it still drops... this one sucks.

With the removal of resistances this item has been removed from the game as of 5.0.4

Used to drop, rarely, from Abissale Gigantescos. Since there are only two of those guys per instance, at the end, most people didn't have this pattern.
