Dropped today in Swamp of Sorrows, from a Sawtooth Crocolisk (39). I'll be putting this nice piece on the AH for a good price. Last one I got sold for 176G on Runetotem (US). I hope to get something similar.

Random drop rate, and for fire resistance its great because of the +15 FR, as well as the protection it gives. Great for a new guild starting and hoping to do MC and what not, but can be easily replaced by the Hyper Radiant Flame Reflector.

its true what Kniteshift says about Hyper Radiant Flame Reflector beeing better, but you have to have 290 in engineering to use it. so for those who aint got engineering, this is THE best trinket to use in MC, ect

If you (like me) enjoy spamming BRD while lvl'ing a char through it's fifties, and if you (not unlike myself) don't have 2 trinkets when starting BRD, this is an awesome item for those packs with 3 or 4 fire elementals :)

The only real use of this trinket is to either sell it to someone who is dumb enough to pay for it, or just send it to your low level alt (or be the dumb guy to just buy it for yourself) and use it whenever you are in places like Blackrock Depths, Searing Gorge, Felwood, Burning Steppes or Un'goro Crater, for example. These zones aren't infested with mobs who deal fire damage, but you will most certainly encounter some of them during your leveling process. If you have heirloom trinkets, I don't see this topping them in usefulness.

This can be a very, VERY useful tool when dueling fire mages at low levels, but most people don't really duel at those levels. A level 38-39 twink may want to keep one of this in his bags at all times, because a really tough army of fire mages, shamans, warlocks or just quickly hitting rogues with Fiery Weapon can attack you. The equip bonus combined with the use makes you an extremely hard target to down at this bracket, and combining it with a Fire Protection Potion or any of the resistance enchants, you are one really tough twink to down with the power of fire.

However, this is still a very heavy choice for fire resistance at level 80 (and higher) if you just want to maximize your resistance. It is, of course, quite a useless thing to do, but I guess it was worth to mention just for the sake of observation. See below for a list of other fire resistance trinkets and real choices for level 85 tanks, for real situations.

Well, to be honest I don't see a reason to have fire resistance at any point in this game anymore. Even if you need some for some rare occasion, the majority of the rest of your gear will provide you with the fire resistance required for the fights. Get yourself a Veil of Lies, Fire of the Deep, Soulshifter Vortex, Resolve of Undying or Indomitable Pride.

Why does it say Last seen in patch 3.0.1? I got it from a treasure chest where the Zanzil mobs are in patch 3.3.3.

Dropped off a level 44 Felpaw Wolf in Felwood, on patch 6.2.3, so I can confirm it does still drop, however with a very, very low drop %.

I got this bad boy from farming Scarlet Miners in Havenshire Mines during the DK starter Zone! (My Frost DK Main on Server Ravencrest EU) Literally after the quest: The Gift That Keep's on Giving I simply camped in the mines & after an hour this dropped!

Needless to say this is the only blue item I got amidst many greens & greys so I will be remaining & contributing to Wowhead!
