While questing, this item bugged on me. After the statue died, the buff stayed active on me for some reason. I still get the +50 healing a tick and it's been going strong for over an hour.

Very nice side effect for Paladin Jewelcrafters is that you gain mana from Spiritual Attunement as well. 10% of the healed amount.

Unfortunately, there are no other healing statues after this as of pre-LK. The Primal Stone Statue (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=32810) you see in the databases may be available when the next expansion comes out.

shares a cooldown w/ Minor Recombobulator another good 19/29 healing item.

This one heals for 1200 over 20 seconds w/ a 2 min CD
Recombobulator instantly heals for 150-250 hp & mana, is affected by +heal, can cleanse sheep on other players, takes a trinket slot and has a 5 min CD.

for healers, the recombobulator has some advantages. for melee or anyone w/o a mana bar, this seems much better.

If your a jewelcrafter who makes the Dense Stone into these statues for money or just dont use them, your better off selling the stones instead of the statue since 10 Dense Stone = 25s. 10 Dense Stone = 1 Dense Stone Statue. 1 Dense Stone Statue = 10s

The skill colors shown are incorrect. This item did not go green for me until 240, and at 246 is still green. I was getting at least an 80% chance to skillup till 245. I did not pay enough attn to recall when it went from orange to yellow... I will try to look and see when it finally goes grey.

This is a great way to skill up from 225 to 245. Even if you're paying 4g/stack of Dense Stone, that's still 2g per nearly-guaranteed skillup. No thorium, no gems, just cheapy cheapy stone skillups. Totally awesome b^_^b.

edit: this went grey at 250. As I said, I got good skillups until 245 and then not very good skillups after that. Still, awesome way to get 20 points.

Yes they're great for skill-ups, but also incredibly useful in their own right. As a Draenei Warrior, I can pop Gift of the Naruu with a Stone Statue for a whole ton of healing!

Just tested this post-Cata. Heals me for 53/tick, 23 ticks for a total of 1219. I think I get 53 because of a talent, the base is probably still 50. Since I have 150k hp, this is basically an insignificant amount of healing. It doesn't trigger GCD or share a cool-down with potions, so that healing is admittedly bonus, and arguably still better than nothing.

I'm just starting Outland dungeons, tanking with my dk. This is the first time I've leveled jewelcrafting this high and I am falling in love with these statues. Gives you an extra HoT to help with large pulls and/or bosses. Healers should love when we use these to help them save mana. Best thing is, dense stones are dirt cheap at ah so I can buy a pile of those to make more statues all I want.

Nice for Warlocks, I used to use all the statues a lot when solo levelling up as I could pop a statue and use Life Tap to top up my mana from the healing. Was still using them above level 75, even though the healing isn't worth much by then, but still better than nothing. Was also useful in parties when you got one of those healers that just healed the tank and let the DPSers fend for themselves..... Wish Blizz would make a Cata statue, maybe out of volatile earth?

Since WoD has changed some stuff (stat squish, shared cooldown for healthstones / potions), here's a little update for twinks. Tested this on a lvl 80 priest in a Northrend dungeon.
This is the highest stone statue you can use. You need to have jewelcrafting skill 225 to craft them and must therefore be level 20. Since it binds on pickup, but doesn't require a profession to use, you could probably craft a bunch of those, unlearn jewelcrafting and still use them.

Cooldown: The statue triggers a 2 min. cooldown, but doesn't share a cooldown with healthstones or any other potions you'll likely use (health, mana, dps,...). While in combat, you can use 1 healthstone/-pot, 1 dps potion and a statue every 2 minutes. Shares a cooldown with other / older statues.
The statue is not on the GCD.

Value: Heals for 44-45 per tick, 23 ticks, 1 tick/s, for a total of ~1030 HP over 23 seconds. For reference, at level 80 I have about 26k HP and a healthstone heals me for 10k. Over a 5 minute boss fight, I'd be able to heal 39% HP with a healthstone and additionally 12% HP with 3 statues.

Placement: The statue seems to have a range of about 20-30 yards. It'll stop healing when you get out of range and it doesn't seem to resume even if you get close again. There are no LoS issues, it'll heal you through walls.
Since the statue only has 207 HP and doesn't seem to reduce AoE damage in any way, you shouldn't place it where it might be hit by an AoE ability, else it'll die immediately.

TL;DR: At level 80, the statue isn't really worth any trouble. Since they're low cost and have no drawbacks, I'd recommend keeping some of them on you if you're a jewelcrafter anyway. Value will obviously increase for lower levels.
