Simply a hilarious name. In case you aren't aware, the name of this very poor quality item is a play of the name of an epic item you can purchase after becoming exalted in the Alterac Valley battleground called "The Unstoppable Force".

when shaman got thier talent trees redone at 60, enhancement shaman weilding a two hander at the time of thier points being reset had thier two hander destroyed while they were offline.

as a cruel joke by blizzard the GM's incharge of item replacement sent all the shaman asking for thier TUF's back a Stoppable Force. unfortunatley they couldnt refund it because they had no record of the weapon being destroyed. players had to send in screen shots of them weilding it. dont believe me? this used to be all over the shaman forums.

Currently this weapon has the highest dps of any BC gray weapon. It is also equal to Tarnished Claymore and Stone Reaper.

"The Stoppable Force" is also the guild name for the best damn horde side casual guild on Azjol-Nerub.

The references to "The Unstoppable Force" and "The Immovable Object" (and by extension, The Stoppable Force), are based off of the Irresistible Force paradox.

i made up what happens when the unstoppable force stops the immovable object:
-the unstoppable force loses all its power, all the mettle and glowy stuff of the outside gets absorbed into the immovable object.
-the immovable object shatters.
mankriks wife told saurfang that swords were better than axes, so he knockbacked her. she flew through the barrens, but a shard of the immovable object impaled her through the head.

This item is actually the unintended result of a massive raid on Orgrimmar that occurred just before TBC released

One of the MS warriors in the raid attacked Saurfang with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=19323 and caused a MASSIVE server crash, which, in a tremendous explosion of epicness, created this weapon

My theory on what would happen when the Stoppable Force is put against the Movable Object.

The Stoppable Force, when directed towards the Movable Object, would become lodged in the Movable Object upon impact. Due to this, the momentum of the Stoppable Force would spread to the Movable Object. That momentum would move the Movable Object. In conclusion, the Stoppable Force would have been stopped by the Movable Object through becoming lodged in it, and the momentum of the Stoppable Force would move the Movable Object.

And Chuck Norris might die.

I got this from the raid Battle for Mount Hyjal. The first two bosses have waves of mobs that can be killed very quickly. I got 2 from my first run but it can be quite RNG.

The reason to grind these are for three new pets coming in 9.01 from a vendor in Oribos. Keep in mind that these are PTR vendor items, and may or may not be implemented.

DO NOT ACCIDENTLY VENDOR THE GRAYS! Stick them in the bank until you have what you need. There are NINE vendor trash items that you need to buy all three pets:
1.) Ground Gear From Havest Collectors near Variance Keep, use or create a lvl 10 Hunter to farm these. Higher levels will NOT get the drop!
2.) Robble's Wobbly Staff ( Farm the mobs in Firelands dungeon)
3.) Very Unlucky Rock ( From bag reward sometimes from fishing daily, or 100% drop from Lucky Horace's Lucky Chest in Nazmir.

Pet two:
1.) Rotting Bear Carcass (Easily found in Escape from Durnhold Dungeon in the Caverns of Time)
2.) Dark Iron Baby Booties (Found in the Vault Chests you unlock in Blackrock Depths with Coffer keys looted from NPCs)
3.) The Stoppable Force (Looted from Steamvault NPCs Or Karazan Arcane Protectors) MAGES you will need to put your auto attck on your action bar to kill the mana wyrms that swarm around with the Arcane protectors, as they are immune to magic!)

Pet Three:
1.) The aforementioned Rabbit's Foot, from the Human Starting area Worgs.
2.) Large Slimy Bone (from the Slimes inside and outside Wailing Caverns)
3.) A Frayed Knot (looted from Scarlet Friars and Scarlet Zealots Near the Scarlet Monestary) NOTE: This may be actually the most difficult item to get, as it has to be PICKPOCKETED by a Rogue! The good thing is there is no level restriction, Rogues from Level 24 (when you learn pickpocket) to level 60 can loot this item.

Keep in mind all these items can be bought on the AH, but the price will surely go up, as the drop rates in the world have been severely nerfed!

Since I haven't gotten any drop from the Battle for Mount Hyjal, but I was already in Cavern of Time... I decide to move to the Old Hillsbrad Foothills. Guess what? After freeing Thrall, I was able to drop The Stoppable Force from the mobs who attack us... and I got also the Rotting Bear Carcass from the Vicious Gray Bear near the entrance.

The two birds with one stone situation.

Where are people farming this? tried the spots mentioned but to no luck multiple runs and I see people posting like 10-15 of them on AH on few servers which I believe is dropping quite a bit.

It's a TBC trash item. Just farmed mobs in TBC Karazhan until it dropped for me. It dropped off of one of the mobs above Attumen.

Bastone Instabile di Robble : Trash mobs in Cataclysm instances and raids. Terre del Fuoco is a great spot to farm this.
Roccia Portasfortuna : 100% drop in Cassa Fortunata di Horace il Fortunato in Nazmir but can only be loot once per caracter OR 5% from Murloc Cavernicolo di Calaluna and Murloc Cavernicolo del Gelo Profondo in the Garrison.

Sbrilloverme di Turchese : Sold for one of each junk item below :

Zampa di Coniglio : From wolves and foxes around Azeroth, but does not drop for max level*. You can create a new Human in Foresta di Elwynn and kill Worg Roccianera, or a new Tauren in Mulgore and kill Lupo della Prateria.
Osso Viscido Grande : From oozes and ectoplasms around Azeroth. Caverna dei Lamenti is a great spot with Ectoplasma Divoratore outside and Ectoplasma Evolvente inside of the instance.
Nodo Logoro : From using Borseggio on humans around Azeroth, so you need a rogue lvl 24 minimum. Suggested zone : Bandito in Foresta di Elwynn, humans in Radure di Tirisfal around Monastero Scarlatto.

Sbrilloverme di Topazio : Sold for one of each junk item below :

Carcassa d'Orso Marcia : From Orso Grigio Malvagio in Passato di Colletorto instance or, if you are not max level*, bears around Azeroth.
Scarpine dei Ferroscuro : Relatively low drop rate from Reliquiario inside Sotterranei di Roccianera. There are a total of 12 locked boxes in the instance, which will require each 1 Chiave del Coperchio del Reliquiario to open.
Forza Arrestabile : Low drop rate from trash mobs in Burning Crusade instances and raids.

* Because of scaling issues, can only be loot at certain level brackets and only through Chromie Time.

All grey items can be bought or sold at the auction house, and be sure to disable any addons that automatically sell trash items at a vendor.
