Adamantite Powder is used in Mercurial Adamantite. Which is used in a number of JewelCrafter items. The other powders are grey named and thus of no use other then selling to the nearest NPC vender.

You need around 325 to Prospect Adamantite.
I can at 328, so I guess 325 is the "mark".

please give info.... how to make the powder... I have mined 5 stacks of ore and nada of the powder but awesome drops of all the gems

FYI, this can be kept in a mining bag, which is quite handy for miner/jewelcrafters!

I regularly find these on AH for a bit less than vendor price. If you find a few stacks at 3-4g, buy them and vendor for 4.5g a stack.

ok im 450 mine n and 450 JC and i have never got one adamantite powder. and ive mined it 100s of times. What am i missing here ? no powder now n then the use gem but no POWDER. anyone else have this prob.

This might be a dumb question, but did they get rid of the powder at some point? I picked up my jewelcrafting character recently and I notice she NEVER gets powder from prospecting anymore. While when I originally started leveling her, I got powder every single prospect.

So, is it even possible to get this powder anymore?

How do i get 52 of them, the easiest way? I need 13 Mercurial Adamantite, for my JC leveling, and i cant find Adamantite Powder at AH, and Adamantite Ore is 50g pr. stack :(

Any advice?

Have verified (post shattering) that there are at least 10 spawn points and they are still able to be farmed if there is nobody out there.

Farming Adamantite for Adamantite Powder, some Khorium and a lot of motes in the superior area for it: Isle of Quel'Danas.

Here are the facts:

There are 18 nodes. Of these 5 to 7 will spawn for each lap you do, and any of them can at any point spawn as a Khorium ore, but two of them seem to do it more often than the others. It´s 2 of the 3 at the top east 61,44 and 60,40.

LOCATIONS:
EAST:
9 along the east coastline all but one along the hillside, not the waterline.
The single one in the water is at 61,44,( one of the top 3 NE spots.) After the top three, it´s all in a straight line from north to south so no point giving coords here, except for the top two =60,40 and 62,40 ( so you know where to start :))

NORTHWEST:
The other 9 is in the NW area between Sunwell Plateau--Dawnstar Village--Sun's Reach Armory.

There is nothing below Sunwell Plateau apart from the two on the horizontal line between 37,51(Just below SP) and 47,50(Sun's Reach Armory), so coming up that coastline on your lap, just go along the waterline up.

50,41 = One shelf up NW of " The Dawning Square "
49,46 = One shelf up NW of " The Dawning Square "

Ahh where can i learn 2 make Mercurial Adamantite? I was in sw darnasuss and shattrath and didnt get the recipe from the trainers...

The link to the map of Adamantite Veins, and the list of waypoints, were both most useful from these comments. Thank you, very much.

That said, it's probably unwise of me to have brought my rogue to do this. I'm having entirely too much fun picking the pockets of the naga (where are their pockets?), the murlocs (where are *their* pockets?), the demons (why do the shiva chicks, the winged guys, and the molten elementals have things in pockets, but the large one you plant the banner in tells me 'no pockets to pick'?), and the wretched. The robots don't have pockets either, alas.

To be hopeful, the time I take doing that means that more nodes are respawning! Yeah, that's it...

Jewelcrafting/Prospecting is found in the Professions tab. Prospecting is included as part of the Jewelcrafting profession. Most importantly, don't confuse Prospecting with farming ores. Powder(s) created by prospecting is not the same as going around and "mining" ores. Once the ores have been mined - go to your profession and click on Prospecting to create the needed powders.
