Why would anyone make these grenades instead of buying them from the NPC? The mats are a lot more expensive than the 1G it's sold for by Qiff

Edit: I just saw that it has a finite stock before it has to "spawn" again. Anyone know the respawn time for it?

Even if NPC have limited stock, selling the mats and buying the grenade from vendor is much more wise. Mats are too expensive (depending mats cost on your server, this may cost between 20-25g to make 3, so 6-8 gold per grenade)

You can, like with iron and thorium grenade, throw this one while moving. Mats are expensive but if you got mining aswell you can farm the mats easily but for sure you can't throw one of these every minute.

Mats every 3 grenades are:
8 adamantite ore (4 bars)
2 fel iron ore (1 bar)
half mote of earth and half mote of fire (you create 2 elemental blasting powders with 1 mote of earth and 1 mote of fire)

You can even buy those in netherstorm for 1g each, respawn on vendor is fast as i saw.

The range on these grenades is amazing, 45yards. Make them or buy them (engineering vendor in Area 52 - Netherstorm), whatever, but don't leave home without them!

In my opinion, these are extremely useful as a boost to a rogue's stunlock. The extra 700 or so damage is just some nice free damage and the 3 seconds stun gives you 3 seconds of ticking energy. I can kill all but the best geared warriors and they barely ever get a chance to move, all thanks to these beauties.

Not to be picky, but u create 4 Elemental Blasting Powder using 1 Mote of Fire and 2 Motes of Earth.

So 1 Elemental Blasting Powder = ¼ Mote of Fire + ½ Motes of Earth.

For the lazy, the bare mats breakdown for a single stack (and change) goes like this:

32x Adamantite Ore
16x Fel Iron Ore
1x Mote of Fire
1x Mote of Earth

That'll get you 12 Grenades.

i love this thing, great way to stop kiting, stop a flag carrier who is too far, or stop several people at once if you have the flag, overall a very wonderful PvP item

Just note, this is incapacitate effect and is part of Sap/Polymorph/Incapacitate DR.

So, basically, if you hit target with this grenade, next incapacitate (e.g. Gouge), Sap or Polymorph will be diminished to 50% duration (or less, depending on current DR) and vice versa.

Edit: Didn't see it here either, but there is a cast time of about 1.5 seconds on these.
