Avruu doesn't wander around much, as far as I've been able to tell. He stays up on the northern ledges and pats back and forth over about 30 yards or so, at the most. He's not marked by anything other than a unique name, so don't be expecting a gold or silver dragon frame.

I was able to solo him at 63, but it was fairly tough because of the respawn of nearby birds, and his ability to heal regularly (if he gets interrupted during his first attempt to heal, he'll usually try again quickly after he comes out of stun/interruption effects).

The altar you need is actually a little orb on a stand - one of the new doodads with TBC - over in front of the little hut to the southwest of the Arrakoa "village". Be sure to clear the area (there are a couple Arrakoa that pat nearby) so you don't get adds - it's not hard to do, but could be much more trying if you have extra aggro to worry about.

You need to use this on the altar on 28.81. It will summon Aeranas, which you have to fight untill he is 33% or so. Very easy to do.

He is harder then I thought.. I started the fight with about 2500 hp, thinking it was just another regular mob...

I'm a feral druid.

He was immune for faerie fire, bleeding effects.
He casted a earth shock for 750 dmg, and hit me in cat form for 350 dmg. I was gone quickly :/ Got him on the second try though..

If this quest were any easier you'd be able to do it with your eye's closed. - There are 2 birds on each side of the hut and several mobs (level 62 and 63) that can easily be taken down if you know how to play your class. If you are a low level (under 62) I suggest you kill the dude in the hut prior to placing the orb on the stand (located outside of hut, on the left if you are facing the hut) just to avoid the aggro. - Killing Avruu is easy. I had no problems at all using my Panda Monk - WindWalker (DPS) level 63. The necklace with high stamina and agility is very nice for a common item.
