Keep in mind the motes are removed from most demons, and now only on the void elementals in patch 2.1, so they will no longer be common and prices will likely be rising significantly to match those of the other primals.

These are easy to get from the voidwalkers in Hellfire Peninsula, they're 60-62 mobs. I got 1 primal shadow while doing this quest. I killed like 15 of the voidwalkers. Pretty easy

The Void Ridge on Hellfire seems to be the best place to farm these. Manaforge Ultris has tougher mobs and longer spawn times. I used to get one primal shadow each time I started from the bottom end of the ridge and went to the top part. The mobs drop easily. Depending on your class you can kill 3-4 or even more at the same time.

The Primal Shadow prices on two of my realms have increased from 50-80 silver to around 19 gold if.

If any of you have some of those primals in your bank I would suggest you to place them in the AH as I think they've reached their maximum value. (Placing them in the AH for 24h after 10 pm will help you to get maximum gold out of them)

Luckily for me, thanks to reading the patch notes, I got 4 stacks of Primal Shadow for 50 silver each a few months ago and now I'm slowly making profit out of them :)

Confirmed price increase since the recent addition of various patterns/items in patch 2.2. Went from buying these for less than 50silver(most people just vendored them) to 20g+ on Staghelm.

Yep Pimal Shadow now costs like like 20g just for one now. Since the new patterns its not worth it to buy them AH. So just go farm them your self. Saves you alot of money.

Keep track of the BT guilds on your realm. When the get to, or down ROS: jack the prices up on these huge. Mother Shahraz requires all raid members to get SR gear.

I doubt there is one good place for all classes to farm this.

There are some void walkers that raises resistance to the magic type you use against them, giving me a hell to farm them as a Paladin with only Holy attacks to spare. They're good for combat dps and can be good for Mages for instance by starting the battle with an Ice Lance while being Fire Specced.

That are some nice farming spots, but what's better? Farm primal shadows or farm primal waters and transmute them ( depending on droprate and farmspots ofc ), I got some firends that will transmute it for free, so money isn't a problem.

The best place ever to farm mote of shadow Primal Shadow is the middle lower area of hell fire P. there are alot of lvl 60-61 voidwalkers that have a 25-35% drop rate.

the prices for primal shadow the last 2 months have been higher than avrage becuase of all the guilds just running inside Black Temple and they need resistance gear. If you dont want to spend alot of money on buying primal shadow (like i do), go grind in hellfire peninshula.

I opted for the Armoursmith specialisation option for my Paladin but am thinking now it may have been the wrong choice. Just to make a nether chain shirt I need 20 of these and 20 primal air, not to mention all the Khorium, Hardenend Adamantite and felsteel bars.

It would seem that the only way to actaully make anything from this I will need to farm all the materials myself, though when you think of how long it's going to take I ask myself, is it really worth the bother !

I dread to think of the expense and or the time it will take to get the materials for Bulwark of Kings which requires 20 Primal nether amongst other items.

You can extract these from Felmist clouds in Shadowmoon Valley if you're an Engineer and have the Zapthrottle Mote Extractor.

I acquired 25x Granulo d'Ombra for Ombra Primordiale from Terrore del Nexus's in Heroic Tombe del Mana, while doing Consorzio reputation. This was within 20 mins and 4 instance resets. Making sure not to aggro any of the bosses. I also picked up 20x Chiave della Prigione degli Etereum which are used for a couple repeatable quests with Consorzio. This was by killing all trash. It might be quicker if you skipped most trash and went straight to the Terrore del Nexus's. I found this to be less tedious than some places. You can exit out the end of the instance and reset quickly. You could get more in this timeframe as I said I killed everything. Just thought I'd share! Good luck! :)

These are horrible to farm, even worse then the other primals. If you're like me and need many of those for transmogrecipes, or whatever, prepare for a long grind. They even come with a strange randomly droprate for extra fun.

The best spot is actually in the Mana-Tombs, but you can/should switch to Oshu'gun once you have the instancelockout; don't forget your Tartare d'Orso while farming. If you just need a few primals you're better off buying them in the auctionhouse.

The Void Ridge is definitely the best place to farm them now. We got 16 primals in about 2 hours with myself killing and I and another alt looting.

I found the Spirit Fields around Oshu'gun to be a good farming place (for motes of shadow). There are so many Voidspawn & by the time you make it around the mountain, more have spawned.I got enough motes to make 4 Primal Shadow in less than 30 minutes. I should add that I play a barely populated old realm/server; I have the place to myself. :-D
