It really annoys me that they haven't made these quests less expensive, and more accessible to lower levels. As of 2.4 there is very little chance that these quests will be done again.

Since the downrate, I would like to clarify what I meant. Sure this is available to higher level players for fun or just as a status symbol....but these kinds of things are too expensive for the people that would get any real use out of. I stand by this opinion.

I don't know, but I'm still amazed that people talk about in-game value and usefullness in a videogame. The whole thing is pointless and without value. Whatever's fun is fun.

I can understand why players who like older content to be nerfed into the ground so they can do it with less effort or less cost or greater rewards aren't happy with this quest chain. But there are plenty of other quests that have been modified for those people. Thankfully Blizzard doesn't reduce everything down to something a level 80 can solo in 5 minutes so those of us who just like playing the game can have our fun.

As for the uselessness of the rewards ... so what? Not everyone is playing for awesomeness, epeenery, gold or achievements. Those of us who just like playing the game aren't playing for the quest rewards, so for us it's kind of missing the point to focus on whether the gear you end up with is useful or not. I know I'll probably just vendor or delete it unless it's got an amusing name.

All sorts of people play WoW for all sorts of reasons. For everyone who thinks these quests are a waste of time there is someone else who's having fun doing this kind of quest with toons of the intended level.

There's plenty of content in WoW. If you don't like something by all means don't bother with it and move on to something else. But it's a bit silly to think that just because you're not interested in something others aren't.

Ah! Damn it.
I just clicked on it and bought it and then realised it was a huge 120 Gold! and resale value is only 33 Gold. I didn't even know what it is!
What the hell .. I'm a poor guy trying to get the explorer title. Now I'll have to either do the chain whatever quest or perhaps just put it in my bank.

So I just bought this, because I had plenty (more than I know what to do with) of spare gold and It seemed like a shiny little device. Thing Is, exactly what do I do with It? From what I've gathered It upgrades the tier of some low level gear to a higher tier? Can someoen please explain?

Yeah. Gotta add myself to the list of click before you look spods in this chain. I just landed by a quartermaster and looked for a tabard - and realised half the stuff was available. I looked at the first thing - a recipe - and then just clicked on everything else. I wouldn't mind so much but with 133 gold zipping out of my bags, I'm a wee bit miffed this is nothing but a relic of past versions.

I need to get bigger bags to shove in my bank.

Not a big gripe, was shopping / looking / for elders and don't mind wondering around the game anyhow and finding little treasures is a treat for me, as i also like to surprise hubby with sending him packages from god knows where :P When i chanced upon this vendor i though ooohhhh cool, little treasure ! brazier it must be able to cook my fish or something how cool, and $133 gold, no biggie... Big dissapointment :( wish it did ...something, anything. but nada.
