This is the first item to require a "mana loom" which you can find in Shattrah's Lower City trader area, next to the specialist tailors. You have to stand near it to use it, just as blacksmiths require an anvil.

There is also a Mana Loom in Silvermoon City. No Alliance equivalent at the moment.

For those of you that hate math... Why do these sell for 10-12g on the AH?
3x Bolt of Netherweave = 18 Netherweave

What do you pay for a Stack of Netherweave? Lets use my numbers as an example.

20xNetherweave = 3 gold thus 18xNetherweave =

Arcane Dust is easy. Arcane Dustx1 = 2 gold so add that twice since this required 2 Arcane dust

For those that want to input their custom prices here are the formulas:

20x = (n) {cost of 20 pieces of netherweave in gold}
(n/20)*18= cost of 3 Bolts of Netherweave

it is not actually that hard to lvl to 325. the hardest part is to lvl up to 300 but then its very easy to lvl up when every made bolt of netherweave gives u one lvl :D

The recipe is sold in unlimited quantities by a vendor in a major city, so there's zero effort invovled in getting it.
It has no cooldown, so there will never be a shortage.
It's used for enough things to be guaranteed to sell, so there's no risk involved in making this.
All of the materials are very common, so there's no effort required to collect them.
Making the bolts gives tailoring skill and can be done long before you've hit the skill cap, so the tailor benefits from making them even if he doesn't make a profit.

All in all, it wouldn't be unreasonable for the price of the bolts to be below what the mats cost. Either way, 325 tailoring isn't that much anymore, so if the bolts sell for more than the materials you can just buy the mats and have a guildie make the bolts for you.

Yeah right, it requires arcane dust, which most people will have to buy - its going to cost a fortune if you want to make some of the bigger patterns.

I found that a good way to get over the initial hurdle, so to speak, with tailoring post 300 was to let my guild know that I was leveling tailoring and any cloth (or other needed items, such as arcane dust) they could spare would be welcome. Or offer to buy it, often you'll get a sweet deal!
I received a ton of extra netherweave to what I was gathering myself and it helped propel me through skillups.
At the higher end, it's wise to find a buddy in your guild who is a maxed out tailor and borrow the specialty cloths to get skillups. You can easily make them later to repay them.

That said, this, like most professions, takes time, grinding and all the gold you can throw at it. If you aren't prepared to invest these things you probably should not bother with a crafting profession.

I find these bolts of cloth a pretty decent source of income. While doing dailies, heroics and grinding, I get much Netherweave Cloth. This way the only thing I need to use money on is the Arcane Dusts, which doesn't cost that much.
No problem with selling a stack (20) of Imbued Netherweave on m yserver for 130-150g.
