Appartenly they are just a pretty light...handy for marking in raids. However I did petition a GM about the Elune stones beacues I thought they would give Elunes Blessing. He said that they were bugged and to check the forums for updates. I have yet to find any information on the Elune stones in the forums.

this should sell for more than 1g you have to got to a once a year event kill a ?? boss and this can only be made once a day other thing like that can sell for hundreds of gold

This doesn't work with Lunar Invitation.
Lunar Invitation requires a Greater Moonlight.
This just makes a little circle of light.

These are the same as Elder's Moonstone, except that they aren't BoP.

On StormReaver EU these go for about 9G each, solid stones go for 3g a stack, so if you got this, it could be a good money making way, instead of just a item you never carry out of your bank. 9g a day doesn't sound much, but in 20 days you would have made about 180G, quite some money for low lvls who might've quit playing but still got this, and 180G for free (In a 20 day period) is still some money!

Ridiculously useful now in level 80 raids now that positioning has become an important element during boss fights. Use it along with flares or a priest's Lightwell to mark zones for Heigan, or melee groups for Kelthuzad, or positive/negative charge areas for Thaddius, your raid will thank you for it.

They are single use. So if you use them in raids, take a stack with you (these along with some Elder's Moonstones).

These stones are made from Elune's Lantern which is obtainable through the quest Elune's Blessing. This quest requires you to kill a level ? boss in Moonglade (or just walk through the light after someone else kills him if you're lucky). These stones serve no purpose other than marking spots or just making a pretty light for personal amusement.

I use these to mark the Fish Feasts in raids, as some people don't bother to eat the free buff that others work hard to provide :)

(don't be that hunt... err guy)

Additionally if you make them and mark the feast for the person providing you will be liked by that person. :)

I tried using it on the bottom of the Dalaran well aka the Underbelly entrance and it said "No path available".

It's worth taking the 4 seconds to make this. Solid Stones cost a few silver while this usually sells quickly for 12-15g in NA region. It adds up, especially if you play multiple characters.
