If you're going yo use only shadow damage, then why is +20 spell damage better? will be the same thing, no? and besides its not cheaper, while 10x large brilliand are 50g, sometimes less, depending of your server, large prismatic are 20g each...

Shadow damage is the best in my opinion if you're a warlock or a shadow priest. Unless, ofcourse, you're going to use more than 1 kind of spell, then spell damage is the best, but definelly not cheaper.

This enchant is still the best choice for a 70 level shadow priest. It's a lot cheaper compared to the Major spellpower enchant, and has the exact same effect on the priest, since the one damage dealt by him is shadow...

I'm wonder about this enchant, since i'm Pretty new to 70 and the game, I'm wondering if the +20 shadow damage is affected by + shadow damage talents for Spriests such as Shadowform and Darkness?

on a very smal note- spell dmg is easier to get, both recipe and mats;
one other reason to get it is that because its spell dmg, it affects your power word shield and healing; i know this is very little reason for an sp; but just somehting of note. i would prefer spell dmg over shadow dmg if they are the same amount.

Just go 39 twink for warlock if you're looking for this, it's not worth it. Trust me with the Enchants that you're going to need to succeed in the 29's, you won't survive just level to 39 because 39 twink warlocks are SO overpowered it's unreal.

For 39 twink Warlocks... tough one, because we also use Fire. Affliction is the pvp spec but I really liked my Destruction spec coming from a 70 mage I have the right, but these mats are a lot cheaper.

FML! i ran AQ 20, on my non enchanter alt... and guess what dropped? guess who needed it? NOBODY! man im on a low realm so i would be ther only person with it..... and it dropped off the first boss and that was my first time entereing AQ.....

Been doing AQ20 and 40 every sunday for over 1 year now. This Formula has not dropped once, nor any of the other AQ Formulas that cannot be bought from vendors.

Concidering Vanilla and TBC Formulas had their droprate increased this is very odd. Very odd indeed.

Edit: Vanilla Enchants did not have the droprate increased, only TBC ones. In AQ40 the Twins will always drop the 2 you can buy in Shatt', if you have the correct rep. Also, see below

It is not a 5-10% drop. I'd say a 1:5000? If it really is a 5-10%, I am extremelly unlucky, been in those places 1-2 times a week last 4+ years, and have not even seen all drop, all AQ raids combined and 1 of the Formula: Enchant Gloves has dropped only once in 4+ years, this one Formula: Enchant Gloves - Shadow Power. Would almost bet it has the lowest droprate.

The trick to getting all 4 Formula: Enchant Gloves, is to solo or go as a duo in AQ20. It can be challenging at some bosses, but not too much hassle. Would depend on your class, even 2 DPS works fine.

This is the best way to get them all before Cata' comes out, as they might not be available after. Going with 9-39 in a pug will also lower your chances of getting them(ofc), so go with a mate and grab all while you can.

Went with a mate a few days ago and 2-two-dropped in 1 run, with 2 bosses left(we had to leave it, to go to a ICCHM raid).

Either the droprate went up last patch(doubt it) or we were just damn lucky!

I've been running the new AQ10 instance for about the last six weeks every three days when it resets; I would say about fifteen times in that span. Killing all six bosses every time would make for ninety boss kills and in that time I have gotten each of the glove enchants and stealth to cloak as well. According to the wowhead statistics each enchant has about a 1% chance to drop so I wouldn't put this to great RNG, but rather would guess that the drop rate has been increased as these enchants rarely ever dropped during Vanilla when we used to run this place (I wasn't an enchanter back then). Anyways, I'm not a statistician or anything, but seeing

After about 1 year +, I've finally completed the 4 AQ enchants by running AQ20, though I've missed about a couple months worth of raid lockouts throughout that period, the drop rate is definitely not changed.

I've got a couple duplicates throughout the run, so if you are a complete-list like me be prepare to see duplicates before you see all 4 drop for you, unless you are one of the lucky ones :)

That said, it's still worth running AQ20 even after you've completed your collection, all the bosses still drop the old class books that's worth 10g per, while each boss drops around 20-30g, and some of the unavoidable trash drops level 55+ greens which can be DE-ed into Illusion Dust/Eternal Essence which are the rarest vanilla enchanting mats after the Cataclysm changes.

The run takes 10mins+ so it's definitely worth doing every reset if you have the time to run in circles in Org/Stormwind.

It should be noted as of 4.3 these formulas have seen a significant increase in drop rate from AQ 40 man.

Not so sure about the 10 man AQ, but i've run AQ 40 man halfway through (first 5 bosses) twice and seen 2xFormula: Incanta Guanti - Potere di Guarigione and 1xFormula: Incanta Guanti - Potere del Fuoco. A friend of mine ran through AQ 40 fully once for the achieve during 4.3 and saw 2xFormula: Incanta Guanti - Potere del Freddo.

Run these yourself, you will see what i mean.

The 4 BoP formulas that can be obtained ONLY in AQ 40 or 10 man are these:

Formula: Incanta Guanti - Potere di Guarigione

Formula: Incanta Guanti - Potere del Freddo

These are the other formulas that drop from the AQ bosses , but it should be noted they can be obtained through BC rep grinds as well. These formulas do not seem to have had their drop rate increased.

This enchanting formula tooltip needs some updates.

Just managed to get this formula in AQ, and it's different:

Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant gloves to increase shadow spell power by 20. Cannot be applied to items higher than level 600.

It still requires 300 enchanting.

After a kajillion runs on my rogue enchanter through the entirety of Ahn'Qiraj, dropped on my pally after his second or third run. Of course, he's a jewelcrafter.

I've also run this place on my enchanter main a kajillion times, like Sleepless in the comment from 8.3. When I started runing with my many alts - I've gotten it to drop MULTIPLE times on EVERY characters without enchanting as a profession. The alts WITH enchanting has not gotten a drop, once. There must be something to this... I'm gonna try to bring someone without enchanting on a run to see what happends (with that person as RL).
