Have this trinket on a BM Hunter and a Fire Mage.
Seems to hardly ever proc on my mage and never saw more than one stack of the Sulfuric Burning at a time.
On my hunter however seems to proc a lot more frequently and get multiple stacks of Sulfuric Burning.
Would seem like some mage ranged abilities don't count for the proc?

I upgraded the first one I got that had Mastery, and then the second one I got had Mastery and Leech? Any other stats possible on this thing?

Anyone seen it proc either of the Diurna rings?

When it says 'all stacks are removed', does that mean the potential damage is applied immediately or just that the Sulfuric Burning debuff ends?

only sells for 6 gold? that has to be a mistake. I just got a 376 trinket from a world quest which sells for 45 gold.

Patch 10.2.7 and the trinket still never procs for frost mages (it didn't for my alt). Combined with Dakespaice's earlier reply about it occurring on their feral druid and hardly (if ever) as balance, I seriously wonder if this trinket was never intended for casters despite it being lootable by all specializations.

So if your character is a caster, I recommend only equipping Suspended Sulfuric Droplet if you have an empty slot or extremely low item level trinket. Otherwise vendor it.
