A few things I discovered payring it with

They don't share cooldown.
They use and refresh the same buff.
They trigger on single target damage
They trigger on DoTs damage
They trigger on pet attack (even lesser pets/demons)
While in combat, either trinket will apply the exact same buff than the first one to trigger.
They grant the Gladiator's Distinction buff.

I managed to pull 45% single target buff uptime with mi affliction warlock. While AoEing on 7 targets using single AoEs, it reaches 70% uptime.
