To get Leporide Saltellante you need to find Schema: Leporide Saltellante in Zereth Mortis and bring it to the Synthesis Forge*, then collect reagents for the craft

On top of the branch of tree near Forziere Sommerso from the mountain side
You can see the Guardiano del Nido to the opposite side of the huge sphere under the tree

Schema: Leporide Saltellante is a protoform synthesis pet.

The schematic sits on a tree above Untamed Verdure pool a little to the north of Forziere Sommerso treasure.
Go to 59.19 75.13 spot and look at the cliffs. There is a medium size metal orb. You need to reach it with either abilities of flying.
Above that orb there is a circle looked tree. The schematic is on that tree.

After bringing the schematic to Protoform Repository you will learn how to create Leporide Saltellante battle pet.

To unlock battle pets from Protoform Synthesis you have to complete the quest Sintesi di Protoforma to get Sintesi di Protoforma (Mascotte da Combattimento).

Schema: Leporide Saltellante drop from Protoform Schematic in Untamed Verdure on the top of the tree.
To reach the Protoform Schematic you can use you can use Porta delle Ombre or Traslatori Dimensionali.
After get the item you'll receive the quest Riassimilazione dello Schema: Leporide Saltellante.
Return the quest to allows craft Leporide Saltellante.

I was with someone else (a warrior that used heroic leap to get to it). I switched to survival and dueled them to use harpoon to get there.

However, they looted this and it disappeared so I couldn't loot it. (The only other one I got so far - Fierce Scarabid - didn't do that.)

May also be able to get to it with the bufonid when the world quest (Frog'it) is up. Not sure if this is within the area you can use it.

Edit - Logged out and in and it was there. Maybe the duel caused it or maybe it was just convenient timing for the logout and it respawned. Anyway was only a few minuted.

Before flying, you can actually get to the branch using the Frog's abilities when Va' in rana is up. While on it try and get every inaccessible stuff around the area, if you can't fly, yet.

I did not see it in the spot it was supposed to be, so I relogged and it showed up. a /reload didn't work for me, but if you can't see it, try relogging.
