Just dropped for me from Tribute of the Wild Hunt after completing a calling.

Received the snake soul from a Tribute of the Duty-Bound purple box after doing that calling in Maldraxxus. It was my 5th or 6th box.

Completing the quartet, it dropped for me from a Revendreth purple calling box; so it's either every type of calling box, or just all the purple ones.

I have completed every daily calling since the patch (just over 30) and have not received either the snake soul nor the goat soul. They seem to be somewhat rare.

I got two of these the same day. I cannot accept the quest again, nor can I drag the item out of my bags and delete it, and I can't vendor it either. It's just stuck in my bags. Reporting as a bug to Blizz.

Just got the item, turned in the quest but i can't pick it as a current soulshape? wth :< EDIT: I'm an idiot, went to Lady Muunn to change my shape instead of Choofa.

Just got and completed the quest, but Lady Munn does not offer a Snake form on any of the 4 pages of dialog (that offer me a total of 8 other forms).

I even spoke to Choofa again and asked him to "Remove my crittershape". /reload did not help.

Heavily disappointed that they chose to go with the old low-poly snake model instead of the newer Python model. :/

Just to confirm beyond any doubt: this can drop from ANY covenant calling box (blue or purple). Just got it from a blue one. Based on the previous comments, was not sure whether the drop was only from the purple "challenge" ones that appear less frequently. So it's purely RNG, keep at it.

Do you get it if you are Night Fae only ? or can i be any covenant to recieve the quest?

extremly low drop chance, this is my last soul dropping from "Chest"

I got mine from Tributo degli Ambiziosi, so it means that any covenant calling challenges caches may drop it (blue or purple), not only the purple cache.
