Yeah, another scrap troll item. I was surprised to see my replaced ilvl 200 Dagger being scrappable, and all I got was 1x Trucioli di Ombracciaio, worth under half of what I would have gotten by vendoring the dagger.

Are you wondering how or why you received this particular item? If you used the Scrap-O-Matic 1000 (Alliance) or the Shred-Master Mk1 (Horde) and were surprised to find that you could scrap a Shadowlands weapon, only to receive this gray-quality remnant, you aren't alone!

The reason that some Shadowlands weaponry can be scrapped is tied in to the functionality on a sword called Jaithys, Lama della Prigione. This unique sword not only talks to players in a variety of situations, but it can also be "fed" in order to upgrade it. And the way that it's fed is by sacrificing other weapons and allowing Jaithys to consume them with a spell called Offerta Tributo.

This is why the items Trucioli di Ombracciaio, Incisioni Orboree, Pezzetti di Elezio, and Spazzatura Irrecuperabile all have flavor text that sound like they were written by a food reviewer. Understandably, this is rather confusing if you've just gotten one of these grays out of the scrap machines (especially when you were probably hoping for a nice pile of something you could sell on the AH or use for crafting).

I'm not sure if the tie-in to the scrap machines was something intended, something that was just unavoidable due to the way the code is written, or something that will eventually get fixed in a future patch. So for now, unless you want these flavor items as a keepsake, you're probably best off leaving them out of the scrap machine... Because I'm fairly certain that most (if not all) of the eligible weapons are worth more to the vendor/AH than the remnant you get from scrapping it!

yea i got my axe scrapped by mistake a few days ago i didn't know about this bug as it has been a bug since 9.1 apparently ... anyway after some days explaining with tickets a real gm restored my axe , tho i would recommend to be careful :O i don't know why they haven fixed this yet bug troll since 9.1
