Answer the dialogs to begin the fight.

Same NPC that intervenes when you first go back to the Maw... shoulda taken our hint that we did NOT know who Ve'nari was; persistence has its pitfalls.

The Abandoned Veilstaff is one of the harder events to come across for me. It is rarely called out and although it can spawn in multiple locations, I never seem to be near it when the rare comes up! However, I have gotten lucky a few times now and been able to experience it at slower times (middle of the night or super early in the morning).

As of right now, if the staff is up at multiple locations then whichever location clicks it first ends up with the rare. They are constantly making changes, though, so this might change any day. I'm also not able to be in multiple locations at once, so I am only assuming based on general chat that the staff spawns in multiple locations at the same time.

If you are lucky enough to click on it, you have to answer the questions to start the encounter. Watch out for the hard hitting ability. Ve'rayn's Head has only ever dropped on the very first time I've looted. I think it might be a 100% chance on the first loot to get it. The group I was with and all of my alts have gotten it all on the first loot, and I am NOT that lucky on a normal basis.... or ever....
