Got it on Upper Reaches 9, guess it's the best layer and floor to farm it since the rooms are small and most of the times we can get straight to the room's boss. It took something like 10 tries to get it (plus weekly layer 12 and other frustrated runs, i would say 50-60 runs overall since 9.1).

I finally got my own Minigrue toy to drop from a Layer 12 run within Fracture Chambers this week. I can confirm that it will break the Trenino Giocattolo toy, but not the Trofeo dell'Ingozzatutto della Festa della Birra 😄.

Our tank just looted this from a 16 upper spires,so u can farm it above 12

I got it after a L13 run, trying to farm the mount on 5th floor boss by doing some fast runs on Upper Reaches and with Surging Power blessing to get fast (+ Hunter Camouflage). Only the mount missing !

Does it also drop from adamant vaults? Or can you leave after layer 5 is done?

Got it after about 75 runs of The Upper Reaches level 9 on the Floor 5 boss.
Dropped from Goxul the Devourer (Not really relevant, but thought I should mention it)

Approaching 1.4M soul ash and probably hundreds of runs at this point -- upper reaches 9. Averaging 4 minutes per run, sometimes faster, depending on what floors. This toy is impossibly rare, and all the people I know who don't care about it have it.

VERY delayed edit: Sort of gave up on this toy and never expected to get it. I went back this week and helped a friend get Flawless 16s and Jailer's Gauntlet 8 done for their achievements and got it on the third flawless 16 run we did. Torghast is VERY easy at 70 and I suspect (though obviously can't confirm) that 16s have a higher chance for this toy. After hundreds and hundreds of 9s and getting it on the third 16 I did...maybe a coincidence, but there are a lot more cosmetic drops in 16s anyways, so you might as well go for it! Good luck!

Farming hardly upper reach with my mage. If you r lucky u can finish it within 3 min (2:40 my rec of pure time. Or 1:31 by ingame stats). But with some unluck you can get 2 maps with long corridors. That require almost min to complete. And it become around 3:30 in this case.

Finally got it from Synod (Upper reach lvl 9. Two days before dragonflight prepatch). After 3 hours with 15+ runs per hour. Major tips:
1) dont collect orbs. You dont need em. Only fast click on orbs from final bosses to prevent popup about walking to next floor
2) all abilities, except covenant resets on every floor. Even 5min trinks. So as mage you can use greater invisibility with +99% speed on every floor. Plus eng belt (or speed potion). Just take every talent that helps you walk faster!
3) take fae if possible. it will help you economy around 1min per run with soulshape.

Hello All!,

I have just obtained Scatola di Catene Risonanti from Layer 12 Upper Reaches after a total of 92 tracked attempts. I had read recent comments regarding Layer 9 Upper Reach farming, however, after 75 runs with no drop, I changed to Level 12, and started to see a lot of epic transmog items drop, almost 1 every 2 runs, and within 17 Layer 12 runs of Upper reach, the Toy dropped From Patrizio Cromwell.

I got this from Floor 5 (dropped from the normal end boss before Adamant Vaults) in Upper Spires Layer 16.

I didn't do Torghast much in SL but have been cleaning up achieves and rare loot. This was my last item and it took 7 runs on Upper Reaches lvl 12 to get it to drop. Skip all trash kill each floor boss and sprint to the lvl 5 boss. Took maybe 35-40min

Here's a guide to farming Scatola di Catene Risonanti in Dragonflight and beyond:

First, some basic info about the toy:

Available on Layers 9-16 of the conventional wings of Torghast
Looted from the end boss of the run on Floor 5 (not Adamant Vaults)
A flawless/adamant vaults run is not required (I got it on a 3 Star run using this strategy)

I'm not able to confirm if a higher Layer or higher end of run score make a difference to the drop chances.
Anecdotally however, higher layers do seem to drop more rewards more frequently. End of run score does not seem to make a difference.

With this info, the optimal strategy is to run Upper Reach Layer 16 and get as many kills on the Floor 5 end boss in as little time as possible.
The strategy assumes you have completed everything else in Torghast and only care about maximising boss drops (which include a bunch of the shoulder transmogs).

DO	DON'T
Run on Layer 16. There is only a minor increase in kill time from Layer 9 to Layer 16 for a Level 70 with current gear	Worry about optimising your run score. You will probably get 3 Stars, maybe 4 Stars if you can passively kill a lot of trash on your way to the boss
Run to the end boss of the floor as fast as you can	Stop to kill enemies, visit the broker vendor, or do anything else that takes you away from a direct path to the boss
Click Anima Cells on your way past. Prioritise speed boosting effects over DPS. Mawrat Harness is very good for this.	Stop or go out of your way to get extra anima cells.
Farm Upper Reaches or any wing where you can consistently clear every floor in under 40 seconds	Farm wings with large/long floors like Mort'regar (~90 secs per floor)
I'm out of tips for this side of the list. Have fun, I guess?	Continue to Adamant Vaults if it is available

As a 430ilvl Fury Warrior with max Torghast upgrades I was averaging 4-5minutes per attempt (including minor distractions).
I didn't set up anything special for extra move speed so you might be able to optimise this time a lot more.
I don't think it took me more than 50 attempts using this strategy, but that comes after probably hundreds of runs completing Torghast as current content.
