Remember, you do not need to have all three items yourself to get the mount. You can bring along another warlock in the party and they can use their items -- saving you a bunch of gold. However, it is standard procedure to pay the warlock for use of the items. Most commonly the price is about 50g.

Because of the fact that it is reusable, you can get a warlock to help you with your own epic mount quest to save some money.

Warlocks are now able to train their Epic ground mount. This item is obsolete as you no longer need to do the quest for the mount.

I can verify that this event can still be started by a warlock as of 5.0.4, as long as they have the original items and such. My warlock does not have the original quest (has been completed a long time ago). I just flew over to West Dire Maul today out of boredom, and was able to use this item in the center of the last guy's room.

it probably will continue to work ingame in the patches to come, as the quest would be impossible to do for any warlocks that *still*, many years later, still have the quest uncompleted, and also because there's a Feat of Strength with finishing the quest.

I can confirm that Glifi Xorothiani, Magnetite Nera and Vaso di J'eevee can be bought from Gorzeeki Malalente as long as you have completed the original quest chain. I cant tell whether you have to have the quest chain completed up to the quest that requires these items or you gotta have it fully completed. I bought the items on a character with fully completed quest chain.

If you are a warlock who has the Maldestriero Xorotiano achievement and cannot purchase items from Gorzeeki Malalente, open a support ticket. A GM should be able to restore your ability to purchase the items, or mail you the items directly. (A GM mailed me the items today.)
