To complete this ring, a Necrolord Assault with the quest Assemblare un piano has to be active, as you need the Centurion vehicle that becomes available after completing it to access one of the rings.

Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro is looted from a specific Scrigno dei Giurafauces atop the walls surrounding Perdition Hold. The Cache that specifically contains the Quartered Ring is the one at 35.0 69.7.
Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro is obtained from completing the quest Ripulire le mura, obtained from the Mappa di Difesa that is also looted from the Mawsworn caches atop the walls of Perdition Hold.
Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro can be found at several places in Perdition Hold on the floor after looting at least one other Quartered Ring - A nice spot is by the vases near the rare Tessiombre Zeris.
Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro is looted from the Costrutto della FauceImpazzito NPC. This NPC will start to spawn after looting at least one other Quartered Ring, and will run around Perdition Hold yelling your name. This NPC will run through mobs and away from you, until it eventually despawns. If you miss him, he will respawn in a few minutes.

ON LIVE: July 12, 2021.

You need to collect four pieces (all called Quartered Ancient Ring) to make the Anello di Pietra di Nilganihmaht. This is ONLY available during the Assalto dei Necrosignori. The assault cycle is Night Fae, Venthyr, Kyrian, and then Necrolord.

Do NOT loot any of the Scrigno dei Giurafauce in Perdition Hold until you've completed step 1.

Step 1. Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - ONLY obtain this at /way 35 69 Mawsworn Cache.
Step 2. Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - Randomly spawns on the ground near Perdition Hold, found mine at /way 37 57 /way 41 62. They do despawn after a couple of minutes and move locations.
Step 3. Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - Get the Assemblare un piano, create the Centurione Sovraccaricato and mount it. Now you can jump onto and around the walls of Perdition Hold and loot all the Scrigno dei Giurafauce in areas you normally would not be able to. There is a CHANCE the Scrigno dei Giurafauce will contain Mappa di Difesa - I had to swap onto my third character to obtain the Mappa di Difesa. This will give you the Ripulire le mura. THIS QUEST IS SHAREABLE - SO HELP PEOPLE OUT. You must complete the quest before the Assalto dei Necrosignori ends (you will have to loot it again if you miss it). Complete the quest and the item will be rewarded.
Step 4. Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - In the middle of Perdition Hold, wait for the Costrutto della FauceImpazzito. He will yell "<Character Name>, wants my priceless" or "You cannot have it". For me, he spawned at /way 31 65. Kill and loot it. There's an estimated 5-30 minute respawn.

Take the four pieces to /way 39 40. Use the Forgia di Animacciaio to combine the pieces. 1/5 rings for Anello di Controllo di Nilganihmaht.

This probably does not really need to be said, BUT, I needed to hear it... don't finish the assault first and then try collecting all your ring quarters. You need the quest with the overcharged centurion to be active!

Guess I am waiting for the next Necrolord Assault, should have read all these comments first!

I got the first quartered ring from the cache on the wall like the guide said. I have been searching for hours trying to find the ring on the ground. I have checked every location from the youtube guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hId8terCSYo. I still cannot find the ring on the ground. Any advice before I loose my mind? I feel like I've done everything I can to find that quartered ring on the ground. Please help!

Note: just because the necrolord invasion is active doesn't mean you will get this quest, it cycles through a set of quests, which makes this a grind. You may need to wait another month before you can complete this just because Blizzard hates you. Now imagine getting "on the offensive" waiting months for just the right invasions...

Simple Man's Guide to Anello di Pietra di Nilganihmaht
(My ring was obtained on 12 Oct 2021)

While the other guides are quite accurate, in my own way, perhaps its just me, I wasn't quite clear on everything. So after doing it all, I decided to rewrite the guide in a little more concise manner for simpletons like me.

There are FOUR Quarters to create the Stone Ring... you'll need all four "Quartered Ancient Rings" to combine them into the Stone Ring.

This comes from the Assalto dei Necrosignori and it must offer the Assemblare un piano quest ( Sotto le loro ali leads to the quest ). If Assemblare un piano is not offered in the Assalto dei Necrosignori you are checking on, you will NOT be able to get the Anello di Pietra di Nilganihmaht, so make sure that quest is available before getting all worked up.

You need all four Quarters of the Ancient Ring... each comes from a different method, you will NOT get two from the same method. They can be done in various order if you like, but you should probably start with the 1st item listed below, then get the other three from the various methods in whichever order you prefer... they do NOT have to be done in a certain order (from what I've tested), but I would suggest starting with #1, as it is by far the easiest. I wrote the four quarters in the way I thought in ascending difficulty (1 being the most straightforward and easy, the others slightly more involved).

1st Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - Go to /way 35, 69. It's inside the Mawsworn Cache chest (on top of the wall, can be grappled to).
2nd Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - Randomly spawns on the ground near Perdition Hold... it is a small tiny glowing rock-looking item (that you get the 'gear' icon to click on) and not easy to spot. To save yourself a lot of trouble and headaches, you will want your Gromit Sniffone which comes from the Trasporto del Gromit Addestrato in Korthia... he will point right to the closest one (just ride around Perdition Hold, usually outside the walls).
3rd Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - In the middle of Perdition Hold, wait for the Costrutto della FauceImpazzito. He will yell "<Character Name>, wants my priceless" or "You cannot have it". There's an estimated 5-30 minute respawn. I might recommend standing near Draka, he usually runs near her... you will have to chase him down in a running fight to get your ring (use slows)... beat him down and loot him for your ring!
4th Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro - Get the quest Assemblare un piano, create the Overcharged Centurion and mount it. Now jump around the walls of Perdition Hold and loot all the Mawsworn Cache you find. Each Mawsworn Cache has a chance to drop Mappa di Difesa... this map starts the quest Ripulire le mura. THIS QUEST IS SHAREABLE. You can skip searching and looting Mawsworn Cache simply by asking in zone chat if anyone has the quest, join group and have them share it. Otherwise keep looting Masworn Cache until you eventually get Mappa di Difesa. Completing the quest Ripulire le mura is actually what rewards your 4th Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro (assuming this is the last one you search for).

Complete the four above quarters before the Necrolord Assault ends (ie: don't complete the Assault until you have all four quarters).

Once you have all four pieces, go to /way 39, 40. Use the Soulsteel Forge to combine the pieces and get your Anello di Pietra di Nilganihmaht.

Hot tip: You cannot forge the rings back together in the Rift. I wanted to save myself a trip and get into the Rift and then run to the cave but even though you can see the and mouse over the forges, it does not recognise to you be at one of the forges. *insert sad face here*

Three of those Quatered Rings seem to be tied to Assemblare un piano being active on the necro assault. The only one you can get on necro assaults without the quest being active, is the one looted from Scrigno dei Giurafauce.

Otherwise you HAVE TO wait until the quest is up.
Neither the Costrutto della FauceImpazzito would spawn, nor would the ring be on the ground anywhere. You can use Gromit Sniffone but I saw the ring glowing from far away. If you have all four parts go to the fire area and use one of them next to a forge. Close to Inceneritore Stigio are forges.

Someone was kind enough to share Ripulire le mura so shoutout to everyone who does that! Some advice on that part:
Complete the Mikanikos quest Assemblare un piano and enter the construct vehicle next to the turn in. If you are not in the construct you can neither loot nor be shared this quest. Once can share the quest outside of the vehicle but you must be in it to obtain it. when you are in it use button 3 to jump up the walls and loot caches.

The Costrutto della FauceImpazzito took me around 40 minutes to spawn. check on it's page on the comment section, there's a good macro for it and advice on how to add it to your rare scanner addon. Both of those worked for me.
For Anello Antico Diviso in Quattro check the comment section and use all of the waypoints noted there. I searched for this 4 hours when Assemblare un piano was not up and 5 minutes when it was up. Could have been luck - but I don't think so.

Incase anyone is still trying to farm this out, I just stumbled upon the quest again today.
Last time I saw it up was exactly 4 months ago so get on this while you can.

The assault should be active for another 2 days and 12 hours as of the time of this post.

"Putting a Plan Together" is up today 28/11/2022 (Monday) on EU servers - just before the Dragonflight release! Finally finishing the Nilganihmaht Control Ring :)

Necrolord assault with quest, Putting a Plan Together is up on Nagrand today 12pm AEST 3 Sept. Got the quarter from the Mad Maw Construct running around the area 38.56 65.36 just SE of the Kyrians where the big Mawchained Rampagers are patrolling/fighting (see Wolfshanz or mvpanties v good instructions for other quarters). Posting for what it may be worth, I always see these messages a week later myself!

Frustratingly, I haven't got the quest Clearing the Walls for the last quarter of the ring as I've cleared all the Mawsworn Caches on the walls and the quest hasn't dropped. No point doing it on an alt, as every quarter of the ring is soulbound, as is the final item, so can't send it to my main, and no other alt has the other 4 rings.

2nd day of assault, all chests are back on the walls, so was able to complete and now have mount!

I have already gotten the one's from the chest, mad construct and quest. I have my Gromit out and he's finding nothing. I happened to be in Alter of Domination when I saw someone else's Gromit turn blue, so I ran over to the spot but there was nothing there. Not sure why I can't find it. I've done everything the comments have suggested to no avail. It's the very last thing I need.

I just went back on my DH with the Gromit and found the ground one without doing any quests at all and no other Quartered Ancient Rings. So, not sure why I can't find it on my Warrior. I went ahead and finished the assault and got all 4 Quartered Ancient Rings and since I had already placed the other 4 rings on the Hand of Nilganihmaht on my warrior I decide to see if maybe I could place the last ring with my DH. You can't but at least I can get the other rings on my alt if I can't finish it on my main. Why are they BOP? So annoying.

I decided to wait till reset and go back on my warrior. Had my Gromit out and ran around the whole place but again nothing. Very frustrating. I guess I'll wait till the assault is over and go back.

Went back when the assault was over and once again found nothing. No choice but to wait till the next one.

So the assault is up, again. I didn't start it and ran around with my Gromit taking 3 laps and to my dismay NOTHING again. This makes no sense at this point, I've tried every stage of the assault on my warrior now.

I was going to delete this but I think it's better left up. I finally found the last Quartered Ancient Ring. It was in my bank the whole time. Not sure when I picked it up, sometime during SL. Moral of this Saga, check your bank for older items.
