This mount is dropped from a rare event happening in Korthia.

The event will be signalled in your chat whenever it occurs, with the text: "Escaped Wilderling roars defiantly in the distance".
You'll then see a rare event called "Escaped Wilderling" on your map at around 35,73 32,22.

What you have to do for the event is simply just mount the escaped wilderling, and calm it down by riding it, and pressing "hold on tight" whenver it speeds up. Reminds me of the Flayedwing WQ's in Maldraxxus.

When you succeed you'll recieve some anima, along with relic fragments, which are for rep with Archivist's Codex, and also a Talon-Pierced Mawsworn Lockbox which I believe to drop the mount. Haven't yet confirmed, but the Mount Journal states the mount as coming from the event, so this is what I'm assuming.

The mount is covenant specific to Night Fae.

This is 1 of 8 mounts coming in patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, that can be farmed on a daily basis. This means 1 kill per day per character for a chance at recieving the mount.

Mazzuolatore Sfrenato - Drops from Konthrogz il Disintegratore - Location: Several spawnpoints throughout Korthia. Look for a big star on your map when he spawns.
Redini del Destriero Caduto - Drops from Destriero Caduto - Location: Spawns at /way 16.27, 49.49 in the maw, and runs along 1 of 2 routes and despawns at the end. For more info check comment on Fallen Charger's Reins. The fallen charger can actually be killed as many times per day as you want.
Pellescheggia Cremisi - Drops from Malpantano - Event start location: /way 60,64 22,93 in Korthia
Aquilon Indegno - Drops from Spaccamondi Selvaggio - (Covenant specific to Kyrian)Event start location: /way 46.88 35.00 in Korthia
Bardatura del Selvante Estivo - Drops from Selvante Fuggito -(Covenant specific to Night Fae) Event start location: /way 35,73 32,22 in Korthia
Signore degli Insetti Necrofagi - Drops from Alacarne - (Covenant specific to Necrolord) Event start location: /way 59.87, 43.49 in Korthia
Alagreve Capolavoro - Quest item reward from Cristallo di Alagreve - Dropped from Spaccapietra Stigio- (Covenant specific to Venthyr) Event start location: /way 46.47, 79.80 in Korthia

After camping it for many many hours, I'm beginning to suspect it's not in yet or you need to progress further in the 9.1 chain to be able to see the event.

Edit: it's available as of the second week of 9.1. First day I've got 10 Relic Fragments from the Scrigno dei Giurafauce Artigliato

33.21, 39.42 - found it by instinct why others were running around in circles causing me to come here for nothing..after now following my instinct!

respawned 10 min after i missed it by going to portal for rare - as i had never heard of this one.

so my screen said i got the mount, but its not here - seems to be night fae only (check the "unusable" sectiion of your mount list) if you got your hopes up by reading your screen first..

I am Night Fae and this popped up today.
You jump on top and use 1 to "hold on tight" as the wilderling "gains a burst of speed". You have a tame bar that goes up as you hold on during those bursts. A perfect gets you more progress.
Once it was tamed I did receive a Mawsworn Lockbox, but it did not contain a mount.

So even though it popped, I am Night Fae, and tamed it....no mount so no idea what the % drop rate is.

The drum was there to interact with and summon the rare this morning as servers went live. It takes a few moments for the rare to fly down and become attackable and once it has been damaged enough it then becomes interactable for the riding event. From what I could see, all players could ride the Wilderling, even if they weren't present during the attack phase. After completing the riding event, I received Scrigno dei Giurafauce Artigliato which did not contain the mount, but had some relic fragments, a Korthian Armament and a few grey items. You can then follow the NPC's all the way back to Keeper's Respite after the event, at which point they despawn with the Wilderling.

The saddle does not drop from the box, it is directly a reward from the encounter itself. It'll pop up alongside the box.

On Night Fea I hopped on to ''Tame It''. Had a Perfect Hot Streak. Dropped only a loot box with fragments. Definitely not 100%.
After my turn the NPC with the mob returned to the city.

Got it today at the end of the ride. The Lock Box AND The Saddle announced and appeared in my bag - the Saddle is an Item that begins the quest: Sella del Selvante, that you need to accept.

After seeing some answers and asking few people, this is how I got the mount. it's pretty simple and straightforward.

just wait for the spawn at /way 35,73 32,22 in Korthia.
Ride the mount AND do a full perfect run. as in getting perfect only on every hit. In the end, you will get Scrigno dei Giurafauce Artigliato plus Sella del Selvante which you hand in and get the mount.

I was at 45 renown and nightfae.

Got the Lock Box + Quest: Legend of the Animaswell + The Mount Quest: Sella del Selvante. We got the mob to 0%. After that did a ride with all but one perfects. The first one was a MISS and the rest was PERFECT, this shows a HOT STREAK red text just near the word PERFECT. Renown 45, Nigh Fae, Dutch.

does anyone know if you have to participate in the fight with the rare to get the mount? i always rush there when its announced but it usually is dead with the taming phase up when i get there

I just now received it. I usually always get "perfect" for every hit and have never gotten this before every day since release. Today, I got 3 "Goods" and received this as a rewarded quest afterwards. It appears to be not at all required to get perfect on each hit.

Mount can drop under renown 45, got it on a 21 renown night fae hunter :)

I went to the place where the event starts, i was 46 renown at the moment. I didnt see or took part in any fight. The beast was there with an arrow indicator. I mounted and the tame bar appeared. After doing the event i got the chest and the quest poped in my log.

Currently clocking approximately 50 attempts on this, it's the last of the covenant specific rare mounts in Korthia i don't have. Every time a player completes the ride, there is a chance for the quest item to be pushed into the player inventory together with the blue quality chest you get everytime. It's extremely likely that it doesnt matter if you tag the boss or not when it's hostile, or the percentage of HP you bring it to, or even wether you get hot streaks or not in the minigame, as there are several player who reported dropping the mount who did or did not any and all of these things. Renown doesnt seem to be a limiting factor either. At this point it appears pretty clear that all it's needed is to complete the event bar to trigger the reward, and get a chance at this mount. Everything else is just superstition.

Sitting on over 50 tries with most of them being on alts who just switched to Night Fae. Can anyone confirm they received the mount on an alt who hasn't done any covenant intro quests and is like 1-5 renown?

I just got the saddle on a renown 7 alt so you do not need high renown for this to spawn in your bags

Been farming these mounts everyday since 9.1 launched. On 2-3 toons. Hope everyone is having better luck.

Not sure if anyone wrote this before but you have to be a member of Night Fae to ride it. I farmed this mount on my main that isnt Night Fae and then I started to farm it on an Fae alt, got it after the 5th try.

I wanted to share some info to potentially help anyone understand this encounter a little better! I realize some of this information is in other comments but some of it isn't (or not that I have seen) - Good luck everyone!

- This event is started by anyone in the Night Fae Covenant interacting with the Alluring Drum that spawns periodically throughout the day (I don't believe there's a set timer but it does seem to happen frequently).
- The Drum will spawn the Selvante Fuggito, whom you will need to fight until he's lost enough health and becomes mountable. He'll quickly move back/rest right near the ledge where he spawned.
- After mounting the Escaped Wilderling (just click on him), you'll get a special action bar / vehicle bar with a "Tame" ability and "Tame" bar. You'll need to use the "Tame" ability each time the game prompts you with "Escaped Wilderling gets a burst of speed. Hold on tight!" - as you use this ability, your "Tame" bar will fill up. It seems to fill faster the more "perfect" results you get, basically hitting the "Tame" button as quickly as you can after getting the "Hold on tight!" prompt.
- * You can no longer spam the "Tame" button! There is a cooldown. *
- Once you've filled the "Tame" bar you'll return to your character and receive Talon-Pierced Mawsworn Lockbox as well as a chance to get Sella del Selvante which starts the quest Sella del Selvante that will reward the mount, Bardatura del Selvante Estivo.
- Today I got the mount after maintaining "Perfect!" and "Hot Streak!" - I don't know if this is related to getting the mount/quest.
- I was NOT able to engage/mount the Escaped Wilderling after having finished the first time, but I could fight him once he spawned again (I could not mount him).
- If you see the NPC's walking him around Korthia, just leave them alone. You can't engage with them and they just despawn after they walk around forever.

If I need to make any corrections to this info I'm happy to do so!

Got it today. I did a perfect run then got it as a quest to go hand in the blue saddle to Korthias. Wasn't in the box just a separate item that started quest. Then rewarded the mount. Have done perfect runs before and didn't get it so not sure if that helps but that is how it worked for me. There were others around but seems if you are night fae you can start it and always get to try.

Seems to be bugged as of 16.11.2022. He just doesnt use burst of speed at all or just only once and never again after.

Believe it or not, I am currently at 101 attempts and I have no idea if I am just really so unlucky or if something is going on. I got the Venthyr and Necrolord mounts in under 20 attempts and now when I think back it makes me wonder... What if (like some SL items) the mounts only drop on the first attempt of the day or they have a higher chance to drop from the first attempt? I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but I’ve been farming this one with 6 characters a day for a while now and nothing. Meanwhile the Venthyr mount dropped for me pretty fast after using only a single character and for Necrolord I was using two - dropped on the first try of the day. Will update with the number of the attempts once or IF this one drops. :/

EDIT: Dropped after 118 attempts - not the first try of the day.
