To craft Guscio Corazzato you need find Incudine di Animacciaio used to convert Polvere di Stigia and Scheggia di Stigia into Lingotto di Stigia.

Soulsteel Anvil in the area is interactable, and when opened, allows access to a special crafting menu, called Stygia Crafting. Within this Anvil, you can currently craft two items:

Lingotto di Stigia: 10x Polvere di Stigia and 10x Scheggia di Stigia.
Guscio Corazzato: 1x Attrezzi del Forgianime and 20x Lingotto di Stigia.

To craft Guscio Corazzato you need a total of 200x Polvere di Stigia and 200x Scheggia di Stigia.

Incudine di Animacciaio is located on the highest platform, to reach this platform you can use Richiamo del Dominio or Porta delle Ombre.
To use the Grappling you need Catena Levitante Animata.

Pre-requisites: Be Appreciated by Ve'nari, have 3,500 Stigia, have learned Catena Levitante Animata. Helpful: Parole di protezione is active because of Mantello Spirituale dell'Assassino

A quick note on farming. When Parole di protezione is active, as long as you don't turn it in, you can cloak easily in Perdition Hold, which makes Perdition Hold ideal for farming Polvere di Stigia and Scheggia di Stigia. It also makes it easier to get Pagina del Codice Runico: Anime as well as get to Go to Incudine di Animacciaio.

Another thing I noticed is that when you collect resources from one stygia nexus, another one seems to spawn almost instantly. I think there are two active nexus in each particular sub-zone of the maw. This is why camping a spot doesn't seem to work as the nexus are random. HOWEVER, I think some more more common spawn locations than others. If you are having trouble finding one, I'd check the more rare spots, which for Perdition Hold is at the very very top of Dominion Keep as well as the very southern part where your Mantello Spirituale dell'Assassino will fall off.

You want to get Codice Runico Intatto before looting or tagging Forgianime Rhovus or you won't be eligible for the loot and you'll have to wait for next day to be able to.

If you have the Codice Runico Intatto with one character, you can loot the tools with your alts also.

Dont be fooled. This appears to be 100%, if you have gotten the previous items in the chain. The 2% chance shown is for all kills, most of which dont have the requisites.

In case you're wondering, Soulforger Rhovus doesn't spawn during the Kyrian Assault, so you can't get this drop until it's over!

Now that I have the mount is it safe to delete / destroy this item? How about the Codice Runico Intatto, can I toss that too? Seems weird to destroy epic items, but if they have no further use...
