About the Puzzle:

Once you use your Bacchetta da Rabdomante di Stigia, you will be phased out and become a ghost, and a chest with 6 glowing runes will appear at the center of the platform. You can click on 2 of the glowing runes at a time to swap their positions around. To solve this puzzle, you need to pay attention to your surroundings - There are 6 spikes on the platform you're on, and each spike will have a glowing rune on top of them. You need to order the runes near the chest to match the order of the spikes on the platform. Be careful, as you DO have limited attempts, and if you fail enough times, you will not be able to attempt the puzzle again for TWO HOURS.

Once you match the runes with the pillars, the chest will open, giving you the Stele Sgretolata. Once you obtain the Stele Sgretolata, Ve'nari will have another item for sale - The Codice Runico Parziale, for another 1500 Stigia.

Pre-requisites: Be Appreciated by Ve'nari, have 3,500 Stigia, have learned Catena Levitante Animata. Helpful: Parole di protezione is active because of Mantello Spirituale dell'Assassino

Buy Bacchetta da Rabdomante di Stigia for 1,500 Stigia
Go to Domination Keep in Perdition Hold (approx at 23.0, 68.4), and grapple up 1 level. Go to the left, and go up the stairs to a second hook at about 24.0, 75.5.
Use your extra action button and solve the Rune Puzzle to get Stele Sgretolata by making the runes above the chest match the runes on the spikes. Spike #1 was to your left grappling up and goes clockwise. You have limited attempts before being locked out for two hours. If this happens, use the time to farm
Return to Ve'nari and buy Codice Runico Parziale for 2,000 Stigia.
Retrieve Pagina del Codice Runico: Forgiatura from the cave in the Beast Warrens located at 48.8, 84.7. The page is in the back left.
Retrieve Pagina del Codice Runico: Anime from Perdition Hold located at 27.2, 72.3.
Retrieve Pagina del Codice Runico: Vincolo from Tremaculum at 24.6,12.67. The teleport up is at 27.6,17.3.
Read all the pages by clicking on them to get Codice Runico Intatto
Pet Anima Vagante in the River of souls to get Anima di Lupo Volenterosa. Go against the current and you'll eventually find him.
Kill the rare Forgianime Rhovus to get Attrezzi del Forgianime
Spend the next 2 - 8 hours of your life farming 200 Polvere di Stigia and 200 Scheggia di Stigia. The Bacchetta da Rabdomante di Stigia will allow you to see Stygia Nexus on the minimap. On the ground these look like glowing green orbs. Stand next to one and click on the Bacchetta da Rabdomante di Stigia. Only one person can tap a nexus at a time. I recommend not going over eye 2 for this.
Celebrate the end of grinding
Go to Incudine di Animacciaio (located at the very top of Domination Keep at 20.2,67.0-You will need to grapple hook up the side) to create 20 Lingotto di Stigia
Create Guscio Corazzato by combining 20 Lingotto di Stigia with Attrezzi del Forgianime
Optional: Take the Chaotic Rift to get down (it takes you to Zovaal's Cauldron)
Go to the Binding alter at 45.2,48.2 to combine Guscio Corazzato with Anima di Lupo Volenterosa to get Segugio d'Ombra Ferino
Read Stele Sgretolata to get the rune order
Use Segugio d'Ombra Ferino to get start Segugio d'Ombra Ferino which starts the binding ritual
Run Segugio d'Ombra Ferino into a cage or pillar to not have to bother with mob agro while you punch in the correct rune order.
This completes Segugio d'Ombra Ferino which gives Segugio d'Ombra Vincolato
Learn the mount, brag to guildies/friends

A quick note on farming. When Parole di protezione is active, as long as you don't turn it in, you can cloak easily in Perdition Hold, which makes Perdition Hold ideal for farming Polvere di Stigia and Scheggia di Stigia. It also makes it easier to get Pagina del Codice Runico: Anime as well as get to Go to Incudine di Animacciaio.

Another thing I noticed is that when you collect resources from one stygia nexus, another one seems to spawn almost instantly. I think there are two active nexus in each particular sub-zone of the maw. This is why camping a spot doesn't seem to work as the nexus are random. HOWEVER, I think some more more common spawn locations than others. If you are having trouble finding one, I'd check the more rare spots, which for Perdition Hold is at the very very top of Dominion Keep as well as the very southern part where your Mantello Spirituale dell'Assassino will fall off.

I was not quite clear about he spikes and the direction.
youtube was helpful, and here is a shorter version:
Look at the top of the spikes around the platform - arrange glyphs from 1-6 accordingly

In case you're here after finishing the necrolord assault and you're wondering if you can do the puzzle when you have Draka's Battlehorn on your extra action button, the answer is: NO. No, you cannot! You have to wait until the assault is over in a few days because you can't unequip Draka's Battlehorn and get rid of that extra action button, thus you can't click the button to start the puzzle!

Edit: Turns out it doesn't matter whether you finished the necrolord assault. If it's active, you can't complete it. Don't be lazy like me. <_<

Anyone have an issue where this is not showing up? I tried this yesterday and failed the puzzle and was knocked off. I went back today and there is no green fog or chest. Its Venthyr assault today, not Necro assault as mentioned in some other comments that it will not be up during Necro assault. Anyone know why its not showing up? Is there some pre-requisite that I need to do again because I failed it the first time? any help would be greatly appreciated

If you don't see the green fog: jump down under the hook point, logout and log back in and it should be up.

Just to add, since I made this mistake or was a bug, once you get all your Stygia or bars made and did not make Armored Husk first and joined a group or left or whatever and then put your Stygia Dowser in your bank and then go back to make the Armored Husk. The graple hook points will be gone( or was bugged for me) but when I put the Stygia Dowser back in my bags the hook points came back. So if you want to get back up there just put the Stygia Dowser in your bags and you are good to go.
