Just unlocked this blueprint today. Crafting and using the vesper does indeed summon Hermestes, but for what purpose I don't know.

I don't seem able to interact with him, perhaps there is a treasure or event somewhere that he interacts with when you use the vesper to summon him?

~~If you have a Covenant Calling from Hermestes, you can turn that completed Calling to the Hermestes summoned by this item. Haven't found any other use yet.~~

Edit June 13th, 2021 - I had "Aiding Revendreth" completed and could not turn it into the Hermestes summoned by this item despite turning it into the one in Elysian Hold. Don't know when this changed.

It appears to summon NPC ID 175615 Hermestes compared to the NPC ID 160387 Hermestes in Elysian Hold.

I used the Vesper of Calling in Maldraxxus when i hadn't picked up today's calling yet ( Aiding Maldraxxus) and Hermestes had the quest for me.

If it is indeed meant for a future secret or a current undiscovered one... Hermes in Greek Mythology other than a Courier he also carries the dead's souls in the Underworld and summons Charon... hmm....
