For those not in the know or just can't remember the days of WotLK:
The "incident" divinexve is referring to was
Enti's Quenched Sword that would drop from Kreug Oathbreaker <Ymirjar Giant Lord> at the start of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
This sword originally had a level requirement of lvl 1 but while grey was a lvl 68 grey.
This meant that you could use it to one shot anything in the 1-20 bracket whether in PvP or PvE
This was rightfully abused by many players in PvP and was hotfixed.
The funny thing was that Blizzard intended it to be used this way as the Sword was a reference to an Ever Quest incident in which a mob named Inte Akera (previously thought to be unkillable) that was killed dropped a sword named Inte's Sword of Death. The weapon was so overpowered in stats that the Paladin that was using it easily defeated another player in his guild in seconds. The Paladin's name was Kreugen the the reference in the Mobs name of Kreug and Oathbreaker for a slight DnD reference to Paladin's forsaking their oath and using borrowed powers to annihilate their previous friends and thus fall.
