You get this bag, as mentioned, as a Recruit a Friend bonus. You must be the recruitee (the person recruited), not the recruiter.

Once you hit lvl 50 (Max level at time of writing), you'll receive it in the mail, possibly after a few hours. I didn't get mine right away, but I had a mail the next day.

Despite the mail saying something about escaping Exile's Reach, you don't actually have to do Exile's Reach. I got this on 3 characters who were max level at the time of 9.0 (so didn't go through Exile's Reach), and a Lightforged Draenei who never would have.

If you recruit yourself you get this bag on every character wich completes the training isle.

I also received it when I transfered a character to the self recruited account.

Edit: I seem to get it on every char that thats of a allied race aswel. For example my Nightborn mage got it after a few quests she did in Hellfire.

Edit: On my Night Elf, wich lvled via the normal NE starting zone, I got it when I logged in at lvl 33

Recruiter does not receive this item.
30-slot bag for every new character is very useful.

So, if you're an allied race you don't get the bag until you're level 50?
