This item zooms your camera in and turns many NPCs and all players into various eye type models when you use it.
Eye of Kilrogg and single eye Beholders are common.

The tooltip says you're "Detecting Stealthed Creatures" but it doesn't appear to detect stealth in any way.

Honestly not sure why this isn't a toy.

They either moved this or it spawns in multiple locations. I found mine at the green pool behind the crashed necropolis at 48.3 16.3. You need to run around the East side of the necropolis then following the narrow ramp all the way up the back side, turn left at the end, then jump up the cliff on your right.

In case anyone gets momentarily confused (like I did lol) the item creates a debuff, right clicking it does not cancel it, moving or hearthstoning etc does :)

Group of 3 trying to get this, one got it and chest despawned. Currently on minute 5 of waiting for respawn. Not sure if bug or intentional.

Respawned JUST as i typed the above - We did a countdown and clicked simultaneously and both got it before despawn.

As of Jan 18, 2021 --- This item works in Rated Battlegrounds.. I would imagine this is not intended. Hopefully it gets changed. Pretty stupid when the entire team can spectral sight on demand to know where stealthies are at.

I have been testing this item and have so far found the following uses for it:

Can see some stealthed creatures
Spiders in Domina's room in Plaguefall can be seen.
Currently works in battlegrounds (not rated)

Turns humanoid creatures into eyes.
If the user wears the Talisman of True Treasure tracking and switches between this and their normal neckpiece during a single viewing through the lens, humanoids with an interaction option available will polymorph between differing eye models. Humanoids with no interaction options available will not switch forms.
Non-humanoid forms do not change into eyes. If a non-humanoid does, it's probably tricking you and is actually humanoid!
Some NPC's retain the items they are holding but in shrunken form. Ie Yrel in Lions watch keeps her shield when in eye form, a guard in Boralus will keep the feather quill she is writing with. Gnomes in Mechagon keep their blueprints.

Standing near a secret entrance or door, you will hear a sound cue that there is a secret entrance nearby. You cannot directly line of sight the entrance or it will not work, you have to be out of direct LoS. The item appears to trigger these 'hidden' animations on specifically chosen assets in-game. When using the Sp-eye-glass in combination with the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron occasionally audible whispers can be heard from the box. I encountered these when looking at the NPC UnCorpo under the bridge at 50.4 60.0 in Maldraxxus. (These are different from the Gift of N'zoth whispers.)

Is there any expert here that can actually make some macro to use this item and reset the camera as it is normally? I use the Sp-eye-glass to detect rogues around me, but it is not such an easy job to get them all the times, so i am looking for anyone that could help me set the camera from quite high above the head, as usual, so that i will just need to stand still and look around

Discovery! Use Cann-occhi-ale for world quest Un pubblico difficile - all innocent npc's turn into eyes but the boggart stays the same form (note: doesn't work on Tirneen, they stay as Tirneen's even if they're innocent). Made it very easy to get Un'illusione! Cosa stai nascondendo? (note: achievement can still be obtained after quest completed). Happy hunting!

I tried to compare Cann-occhi-ale and Cannocchiale Elaborato, and got impression that the latter is better:
- The latter can be resent to alts. The former can't, it is soulbound.
- The latter stops on <Esc> or moving. The former does not stop on <Esc>, only on moving.
- The later shows things as they are. The former changes humanoids' view.

Some loser just used this on me in a BG, completely broken on the toddler class hunter. Easy uninstall.

This item allows hunters attack u with pets and knock u outa stealth.

Also, it doesnt break invis for user.
