This book starts a rogue quest rewarding a class-specific trinket, the Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas. A class book can randomly drop from any boss in Dire Maul or can be contained in the Dusty Tome at the end of Dire Maul North.

Upon accepting the quest, Garona: A Study on Stealth and Treachery, players must return the book to Shen'dralar Lorekeeper Kildrath, located in the Athenaeum of Dire Maul. The Athanaeum is an underground library that is most easily accessed via Dire Maul North, though can be reached at the end of Dire Maul West, as well. Both paths will require the Crescent Key to enter.

I've had the trinket reward from this quest for a long time, and saw the book drop today. I was suprised to find out that I could do the quest again (although I did have to delete my trinket first, which was still in the bank).

Figuring this would be an easy way to gain 500 reputation with Shen'dralar, I tried to do this once again, but couldnt get the quest since I already did it.

So for all you optimists like me => unfortunately, you can only do it once, and thats it :P

this book, as with all of the other class-specific books at level 54 for dire maul, are now USELESS because you can no longer queue for dire maul at level 54. once again, a heartfelt thanks to the asshats at blizzard for not giving us a heads up on obsolete items, as i had been saving several of these books for alts i have been levelling. at the very least, they could have lowered the level requirement on these books to make them useable with cataclysm, but no, that would have made too much sense.

dont need 300 lockpicking anymore as of today (----01/20/2011) I went in as a level 57 rogue with lockpicking of 285 and opened all the doors needed (2 in this case) and it was an easy stealth- Good luck! =p

i went to dire maul today with my lvl 60 alliance rogue. i went inside the warpwood entrance and then opened the book and accepted the quest. my map shows that i am supposed to go to western hillsbrad foothills to 'return book to its rightful owner'. wtf?

The guy to turn it in to is not in Dalaran Crater, in Hillsbrad.

The quest cannot be started for me (64 lvl rogue), was removed it seems. Found book in my hunter's bank (8th of july in year 2013), been there a while it seems :).

Trying to use the item these days simply tells me that I don't meet the requirements for the quest even though I haven't completed it. In theory it should still be able to be completed if you have it in your quest log since Lorekeeper Kildrath is still present in the Athenaeum of Dire Maul West. If anyone else has the item I'd like some confirmation that it no longer offers the quest.

Still rocking one of these in my bank - It's still a rare classed item, and I retry using it every new expansion, but alas, still in Dragonflight this quest can't be started. Interesting that It's quests is removed but they haven't made the item a junk piece yet. (especially as it can be traded/sold) and is effectively a broken item.
