Here is a screenshot showing what these items look like. As Kryptaria has very helpfully pointed out, they are clickable mushrooms on the ground. In this screenshot the item is located at 38.1, 69.7 at Ardenweald (this is just one item, but you must click on twelve of them).

Incidentally: if you see a clickable banner, it's unrelated to this quest; clicking it will start an event where waves of mobs will come to attack you.
