This is a VERY Rare Drop! It dropped once on a normal farm of MC ( Molten Core ) And i was over the moon when i saw it in the Raid chat! :D

It's really good to make for a hunters bow or gun, Not really that much use for any other class. Unless you have the gold for the mats, or the time to farm them. The mats are very expensive and hard to come by. But i would seriously recomend that every hunter has this scope attached to a DECENT ( Over lvl 55+ ) weapon!

The Average price of this scope can vary from 400g - 600g, Some people might even charge more. And it will cost on average for the mats around 300g - 350g to make one.

Unless you are low on +hit gear this scope is pretty much not worth it (infact it would be cheaper to get you more +hit gear then to make this scope). Sniper scope is far more feasible to have.

I have this on my xbow and my bow, It works great since before I use to miss 4x in BWL. Besides that it's expensive to make.

This Scope might be something of the past, now when TBC is out and all. I will try to get this as I get my Khorium Tank gun thingy crafted.

BUT, in my opinion this would be the best TANKING 'enchant' on ranged.

Since you won't use your ranged weapon for anything but pulling, the +30hit will be the best enchant.

Assuming that this adds to Melee hit, aswell as ranged.

Too bad Lazyface comment has been deleted. Probably cause he thought this scope adds hit to melee also(which was true when the recipe realised(nerfed afterwards).This is actually the best scope for a TANK that can get. A tank has a ranged weapon for 2 obvious reasons: Stats and pulling. And this scope ensures that your pulling will not miss and maybe cause a wipe because you missed. Biznicks 247x128 Accurascope and it's 30 hit rate,epitomizes the ultimate detail your tanking warrior should have if you are an elite player.Also a scope so rare and complicated like this one,adds prestige to your caracter.

As a side note: The scopes doesn't affect any of the other wpns abilities ,like extra dmg,or extra crit. It attaches to a ranged wpn,and affect ONLY that weapon.

Well IMO if you are running MC then the mats probably won't be a factor and I find I'm liking Hit rating more and more, for both melee and ranged. 1% hit is worth 1% crit. do the math ;)

This scope is still useful at level 70 for hunters. Raiding hunters should have 142 hit rating (9% chance to hit) normally, or 92 hit rating if they spec 3/3 Surefooted in the Survival tree. PvP hunters should have at least 5% chance to hit. 30 hit rating helps a lot to get you there. Then that frees up all those gem slots for Agi, Ap, Crit, etc., rather than filling with +hit gems.

Contrary to what some people have said, the mats for this item are now very cheap in TBC. Granted, you will have to somewhat out of your way to get them, but they are neither difficult nor expensive to obtain.

With the changes made in 3.0 to first tier of the marksman tree.. This scope is less useful as it once was....

Back in the old days, this gave a fixed +3% hit to both melee and ranged, making it very sought-after and talked about. It got fixed to only affect ranged attacks, and at level 80, the value of the 30 hit rating has diminished.

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42946 cant use this enchant because one its a level one item it requires a lvl 50 item, two it won't because it causes it to become soul bound and you cant make a BoA Item soul bound

Just got 2 of those in the same run, one from magmadar and one from shazzrah, looking at the drop rate I guess I'm in luck. I would've been more happy to see 2 bindings but w/e.

Thunderclap: This ability now counts as a ranged attack, granting it double damage on critical strikes instead of 150% and ranged miss chance, and still cannot be dodged or parried.
Taken from Patch 3.3.3 notes.
Making this awesome for warrior tanks. All the other alternatives only affect your ranged pulls. This will give you +30 hit to Thunderclap as well. Considering that most warrior tanks have less than 263 hit (usually less than 233), this will be the best scope to use for the vast majority of warrior tanks.

After over 60 resets it finally dropped on my Engineer :) - Was the last recipe I needed from Molten Core.

It dropped from Lucifron.

Dropped on July 19, 2018 for my level 95 Retribution Paladin on a Molten Core run from Golemagg the Incenerator. Since Mining and Skinning are my professions, this item does indeed drop for non-engineers. Very disappointed that I cannot use it.
