Probably obvious, but if you're maxed out on companion pets you won't be able to learn this item. Apparently they're getting rid of the companion pet cap in 9.1 so after that it won't be a problem. But for now... time to decide which of my pets to cage until 9.1.

How exactly do you get this pet?

I have a Ember Court tier 5, but only done it a few time, because it's boring and confusing.

Is it a reward? Is it a drop? Is it t from a vendor?

If you have the gained this pet on multiple characters, it has some problems as you can have only one in your pet journal. The butler's name does change appropriately when summoned on different characters, but his outfit lags behind and it looks like the previous butler's outfit.

If you ask him to change anything (clothing, hair etc), it properly reverts back to the actual outfit it should be wearing.
