Drops from Forgemaster Madalav in Revendreth.
To get him to spawn, you need to channel anima to Dominance Keep via Anima Conductor.

Hits semi hard and spawns two adds of similar kind that are near the area. Was able to solo as tank DH (ilvl 200) but recommended to have at least healer with you.

Manto delle Lame Oscure del Mastro Forgiatore drops from Mastro Forgiatore Madalav rare in Revendreth.
It can be summoned using the Anima Conductor.
Channel the conductor to Dominance Keep from Venthyr Covenant.
You have to use Martello di Madalav in the Dominance Keep to spawn Forgemaster.

How to summon Mastro Forgiatore Madalav:

be a member of the Venthyr Covenant
do Venthyr Campaign until reach the Sinfall zone
speak with Caposquadra Ditopiatto to unlock the Anima Conductor rank 3
speak with Devahia to grab the quest L'Animum non può fermarsi
use Anima Conductor and channel anima to Dominance Keep
go to Dominance Keep
interact with Martello di Madalav to trigger the rare
kill the rare

/way 55,5, 27,1 Foreman Flatfinger
/way 49,3, 57,5 Devahia (use venthyr portal)

/way 33,7, 24,3 Dominance Keep Elevator
/way 32,7, 14,8 Forgemaster Madalav (Hammer)

Got a question - if I wanna kill a rare mob for loot that is not my covenant, will I be able to kill it if somebody else spawns it and will I be eligible for the loot?

As in, say, I am Kyrian, I wanna kill a mob that requires Venthyr focus to spawn -> will I see it, and will I be able to kill it and loot the given loot?

I have a query, if I'm from venthyr, I get that transmog and then I switch to kyrian, can I still transfigure it? (since it is a world object)

Does anyone know if the tier 3 Anima Conductor set to Dominance Keep is required only to spawn the mob, or is it also required to loot the mob? Could I theoretically just wait around for someone to spawn him, help kill him, then get the back transmog, without having the tier 3 Anima Conductor?

Just killed him today on Stormrage server after completing a rank 3 anima conductor. Drop isn't guaranteed. Had 2 Venthyr in group and neither of us received it. 12/30/2020

I pleaded to the RNG gods today upon unlocking my rank 3 Anima Conductor for Forgemaster Madalav to drop these mighty blades. My wish was granted upon the first vanquishing :)

So i worked my a** to get my conductor rank 3. Today, FINALLY. It unlocks. I make a group, invite people who have NO CLUES on the Drop. Or the Rare. So i link them the mantle and they ask for an invite. We kill him. Everyone but ME gets it. Thanks Blizz. ;sadge;
Btw, i tried to solo it(206 enh sham) and could not. i died when he had 38% HP. He summons arsenal and heal thoses.

I just wanted to say that you can loot these without having the anima conductor rank 3 yourself. Just look for a group in LFG and someone else is probably summoning. Took me two tries.

Also, for those of you who are wanting to use a staff with this, it doesn't show up. Seems like the blades take up the weapon transmog that goes on your back.

Got them while only having rank 1 conductor from a lfg group. If you only wan the back piece from the conductor don't bother investing in it when you can just get it by tagging a kill.

Also interesting note, this will hide any weapon that sheaths on the back (2H weapons, etc).

Just had this drop during the "Destroy the Dominate" world quest when the rare spawned. My conductor is not Rank 3.

When you want to add on the comments sections that it dropped for you... is not so hard to let us know if you were Venthyr or not.... for now, neither the Wowhead. handy notes or ATT says if it is ONLY for Venthyrs so.. let us know to collect the data. Thank you

You can only transmog this appearance if your characters covenant is Venthyr.

Procuring it as venthyr and transmogging it on an alt will NOT work, wont even show up as an option if you have a different covenant.

Dont understand why venthyr are the only covenant that has back mogs unpurchasable with anima or as a reward from campaign. Kinda weird.

So i've had these for some time, and ofc i've got them mogged.
But yesterday i Changed covenant from Venthyr to Night-Fae.
And i can confirm that if you already have them transmogged, they will stay on your cloak.
It's probably not intended, but thought i would add that little bit of fun-fact.

The daggers on the back piece is the same as Pugnale Cerimoniale della Casata di Renathal for transmog matching if you're willing to pay the 1750 anima to know the dagger.

For information Purposes. Got this to drop from a tagged kill. No progress in venthyr campaign other than the first soulbind quest. No Conductor or any upgrades unlocked. First kill dropped it.

If you manage to get the anima conductor rank 3, you can farm the transmog multiple times with alts.
Just make sure they are venthyr (campaign progress doesn't matter), spawn the boss on your toon with the conductor rank 3 and switch characters, you can easily kill the boss with fresh 70s.
